You can replace Flash with any player. Flash is just the recent and most relevant example. If you noticed, I kind of brought up all the previous dominant players of the game and how they forged the game's popularity despite being godly players who won everything. If Flash suddenly gets hit by a meteor and Jangbi wins a bunch of titles, this courtesy extends to him, as well.

Nope, I'm saying Flash is another in a long line of dominant players who help the sport grow by creating drama when he loses. Federer to Nadal, if you will. Broodwar is obviously fine without a single bonjwa, as there wasn't one for like 3 years after savior's loss and Flash's rise. But I do think there was an obvious coorelation between bonjwas dominating and being dethroned and the game's popularity curve.
