They don't get paid for chinese people viewing a stream online right? Unless its linked back to them somehow. I'm just wondering. If that's true then it would only matter how many viewers there are in korea. If there really are millions of concurrent viewers, it would probably be worth it to hire a chinese division with the attendant marketing and so on. There is surely a way to capitalize on the market - leave it up to creativity. Well trust me,even if it`s not linked, they WILL link it ASAP. I still find it hard to believe those numbers ( I mean, soccer matches rarely get 10M viewers :S ) ,but if it`s true...Who knows, maybe in 2013 season SPL could get some chinesse teams which would compete with Koreans or they can start a brand new scene in China.

At a time like this, BW needed a hero like Jangbi and he came through for everyone. Thank you Jangbi! <3

I distinctly remember thinking "fuck, this game has been over for a while, and Im sitting here like an idiot hoping for Jangbi."
Sometimes, you gotta love being wrong.

I was gonna watch it, but I don't even know if I'll bother now. During the BW break that's been going on now I've been watching more and more SC2 and getting kinda into it again, but watching stuff like this... mang, high-level BW is just so amazing.

Jangbi's new nickname should certainly be "The Phoenix." That fits in such a funny way. Reborn from the ashes of defeat in the preliminaries... that's effort

I'm feeling so bad for you right now. I thought fanta won due to the corsair > scout choice for a second there (I can't believe I just wrote that), but you missed out on something amazing.

That can't be right. Surely, it must be 200 million. second place. Nevertheless. And JangBi gets 40 million won? 10 million Chinese people watched the stream...I mean, I guess BW money is more for salaries than big prizes, but it's still baffling to me that winning an OSL gets you less money than winning a GSL (which is 50 million won). But I guess Jangbi can look forward to a six-figure salary, so it all kind of works out, I guess. 10 million? no way.. According to Reddit. Jesus fucking christ [edit] I refused to believe the screenshot. Since I can read Chinese, I went ahead and downloaded the streaming program http://www.pptv.com/ and checked myself. Yep, 3.35 million concurrents. The crazy thing? This is not the only restream of OSL! Another channel, call SiTV遊戲風雲頻道, has an additional 6.72 million views. o.o ten million Chinese StarCraft fans watching the OSL finals! http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/kilaq/so_the_chinese_gamefly_stream_of_the_osl_finals/Whenever anyone says BW is dying, I'm going to point out that the OSL finals got 10 million views whereas NASL got 80k and MLG got ~100k. BW is ten times bigger than SC2 even if you don't count Korea. I guess having the Proleague Finals in China was a smart move, even if it didn't end up panning out O_O you're comparing views with concurrent viewers, at least make it consistent. He was referring to 10 mil as the number of concurrent viewers.
You guys are mistaking views with concurrent viewers

best reason i could ever give away my first post!
you have to love BW !!

I love BW as much as the next guy, used to stay up for years and years watching every single game on stream but..don't agree with the SC2 hate. Of course it's not as good a game, and the players aren't as good, but I'm still hyped as fuck to see these guys and the event.

Most of Woongjin were there because they helped Jangbi prepare for the finals. Yes, Jangbi beat Fantasy by practicing with Light.
