At last! you enter the Round of 96! Here on these vast maps where even shadows fear the
light - here you must confront your opponents. If you have cheesed, beware of the gathering spirits, for they do fish for men. I pity the men of swords, For here blood runs cold...

July 31st saw the end of ISL2's Ladder Stage. 108 players qualified for the main tournament. The Top 12 of those are seeded directly into the later Round of 64. The remaining 96 players enter the Round of 96 to compete for an additional 48 spots. 4 Invites complete the Round of 64's player pool (4 + 12 + 48). Complicated? Don't worry, we'll talk you through it. First though, let's take a look at the results from the ladder stage

As announced, the Top 12 players of the ladder stage win a seed directly into the Round of 64. They are:

The 96 players are divided into groups of 4, playing an MSL Survivor style to determine 2 players who advance. The maps are as follows:

Game A: Player 1 < Blue Storm > Player 2
Game B: Player 3 < Blue Storm > Player 4
Game C: Winner A < Othello > Winner B
Game D: Loser A < Othello > Loser B
Game E: Loser C < Heartbreak Ridge > Winner D

All the games from the Round of 96 will be played on the Fish server. There is an extensive guide here, but with a huge shout-out to Xsebt, our friendly neighbourhood Dane made a Fish-specific guide just for us in the spoiler below:

+ Show Spoiler [How to play on Fish] +
How to get Mini Launcher and play on the Fish server

1) Downloading the installer

http://mini.brainclan.com/update/Mini-install.exe

2) Installing MiniLauncher

This step it's cruicial for you to not get any spyware!

Wait for the program to be installed.

3) The launcher

When you first open Minilauncher you have to update it. It will automatically request this, so you just just have to click yes (Y) and it will start updating.

Next thing you wanna do is get the servers:
Go to the "Tool"-tab. Here you'll see three buttons at the bottom. These are the three major Korean servers: Brainclan, Fish and Mapzine.
In ISL2 you're gonna be playing on the Fish server - so click that button!

Now go the the "Launcher"-tab. This should look fairly familiar to you. You can select the plugins you want.
The ones you MUST have checked are:
[MINI] for 1.16.1 (Anti hack)
Chaosplugin for 1.16.1 (Auto replay etc.)
LatencyChanger for 1.16.1 (Allows you to play in low latency games)

LatencyChanger extra: to enable low latency when hosting a game you have to end game with either "#LL", "#L1", "#L2" etc.
+ Show Spoiler [The difference between these] +

Changes the latency on BNet-games which end on #LL or #L1 ... #L5
#LL sets latency to 2 (like on Lan)
#L1 ... #L5 sets latency to the supplied number
For LAN-games use the settings. On LAN the settings have to be the same or all players
Only works if ALL players in the game have LatencyChanger, else you will get disconnects

Before you can start starcraft through the launcher, it must know where starcraft is installed. If you choose to find it manually (faster if you know where it is), you need to find the file "StarCraft" inside your StarCraft folder.

Finally, to start starcraft through the launcher, click here:

Go on the fish server and make an account through the game (same method as regular battle.net).

  • If highly suspected of listening to the stream of your game, you will be disqualified.
  • All games must be played on your ISL2 names.
  • All replays must be sent to the referee or your games will be reversed. Only the winner must send the replays in.
  • Once the countdown ends and the game begins, you must be /dnd.
  • All games must be played on Fish server on LAN latency.
  • No Korean IP addresses.

First response for any necessary updates.

First point: If your name is in this thread, but not here List of Replay Packs Received you will not be playing in the Kaal International StarLeague.
List of People Who Have Not Sent in Their Replay Packs

Second Edit:
Here is how the Group Stages will work due to player insubordination. Currently 18 people have sent in their replay packs for Day 1. In order to give leniency to those who actually have legitimate reasons for not sending in their replay packs on time, I am re-drawing the deadline per week to Thursday 2359EDT. This is unfortunate for the Day 1 players, as they have roughly 9 hours and 20 minutes to send in their replay packs. Other than that, per week players will have until the deadline. For those who don't understand, it's so we can check your replays thoroughly for any kind of abuse.

In case of missing replay packs by the deadline, the groups will be re-randomized. For day 1 so far Group 1 has started and have all of their replay packs turned in, as well as Group 3 having all of their replay packs submitted. Therefore, they will stay the same. The remaining players will then be re-randomized and those groups will be released mid-Friday, giving you around 24 hours to practice any new match-up and study your opponent.

Players: Please take note of this post so come your day to play you don't cause unnecessary commotion amongst other players.

Talk with your entire group. Your best bet is this:
Get your first opponent (it's in order there) to play the match with you a day ahead of time in which an ISL2 referee will be present.
Upon doing this, you need to send me the proof of it (with scheduled time/date) so that one of the referees can show up for your match.
After that Talk with the other 2 players in your group. You will forfeit the winner vs winner or loser vs loser match automatically, as those cannot wait. However, the final match on HBR can wait (until Sunday @ 2359CET). Assuming you win your first match AND you can get both of the other people from your group to agree to PP that match with you, you need to also provide proof and scheduled time/date that they agreed to play you and abide by it.

Notice to all players:
In situations like this, you need to inform me way ahead of time, if it's less than 36 hours ahead of time - just expect to receive a WalkOver.
Also note that if you agree to a social contract like this, that you will indeed receive a WalkOver for not showing up to the match that was scheduled given your manner and kindness initially.

okay, I have three questions:
1) what incentive would my group members have to reschedule my match when they can just receive a free walkover?
2) how can I contact my group members? most people don't check their isl2 email on iccup.com
3) I would only need it postponed by three hours, is this not possible?

thanks

1) They don't, only public image. Most people try to give the appearance of being manner when they know a lot of people will see it. This happened 5x last ISL (1/2 the players of ISL2)
2) Get creative. I do not give out anyone's info. If this starleague is important to you, you will go to all extents to get their contact info or hunt them down on servers.
3) No, postponing an entire group for one player... ugh no explanation necessary, just no.

Group 2 will be edited. WendiGo] you will qualify and be placed in Group 2 on Playday 1 due to ISL2.amoral's stat transfer. Another one bites the dust.

How about switch the groups 1 and 10, i mean i have the same sitution like Assault, and i can't play at 13 August. I know the groups are randomized, but it possible to let me play at group 1, and switch Assault to group 10? if he agree of course.

So.. Assault how about that?;>

Unfortunately you cannot negotiate the group stage terms. However, given the lack of replay pack submitting, there is a chance in the near future that the groups might be re-randomized to cope for player laziness/idiocy/inactivity.

Alright let me know how that goes please. Also, you need to contact the person you are up against first. The groups are in order so whoever is to the right of your name (forgot it as I started typing this and don't want an ugly edit).

This wasn't an error, it was just the best idea to leave them out of the group stage thread until we can announce our 4th invite. Thanks for the heads up though

One of the invites = ace = the sc2 progammer? I'm assuming that's just a duplicate name of a foreigner ace?

Not SC2 player, but SC1 player sas.Ace who got second place in ISL#1.

It might be useful to add the SC server registry file to the Fish guide. Oftentimes, switching between servers will screw up your registry and delete some servers from the list. Running this file will put them back. I've uploaded it here: http://www.2shared.com/file/5WnqwkFL/allscservers.html

i don't want to impose, but that's highly unlikely from a professional stand-point. organizers rarely propose one thing then revoke it because they "changed their mind."

the majority of the gamers will probably vote off the chosen maps, but this event not a democracy by any means, Plumbum x(

Here is an interesting interview with Bisu and Stork on map balance less than a year ago:
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=169641

Stork: "Protoss depend on catching Terran off guard to win. If a map is used for too long, no matter how unfavorable it is for Terran, they will be able to adapt eventually. And when they do, we lose our advantage."

Bisu: "I agree. Protoss’ performance really is decided by the maps."

That's why I really don't understand why old maps are used in foreign tournaments. I'm not sure about map age relations with Zerg vs Terran, but I'm sure it messes those matchups up too. Moreover, some maps like Python and Longinus don't even support the current meta game (You can't really forge FE on Python...even pros have been 1 basing on it with BNET Attack) and Longinus is too small and the expansions are completely different. And a competent Terran should have adapted to old maps like Fighting Spirit, Match Point, Benzene, etc...to the point where its disadvantageous for Protoss.

Wanted to add to the above, just keep the maps for the same round but use current proleague/osl/msl maps for the following rounds. Not just for balance (protoss vs anything on python is imba) but because old maps are mostly figured out and games turn into either bad games or cheeses.

I don't disagree with protoss having an inherent advantage when it comes to playing maps when both players have relatively little experience on the map. But I disagree with it being unfair for protoss when terran catches up because they had adequate time required to play passably. To me, that is bias showing and simply not being thrilled over their advantage shrinking; if you interviewed top terran players, I'm sure they would have a different perspective. "Meta game..." who cares. When most maps are similar, there can be a general consensus on "how you should play," but when the optimal way to play a map doesn't fit the meta game, it doesn't necessarily equate to imbalance.

I think on Destination Flash would have a 90% winrate against other progamers. Prolly same on T v P at Match Point. It's just guessing prolly, but current meta game on old maps its just imba sometimes.

Imagine flash doing FE and taking a fast 3rd on Destination. Then he could just turtle and run over the map and protoss would have nothing to do but try to cheese, which would most likely fail given proper scout patterns on a map you are familiar with.

Imagine t v z, starting with m&m and transitioning into mech would enable terran to secure half the map basically. Sure zerg can cheese, but again, if you can almost only win on a map by cheesing it is quite unbalanced.

Imagine the best player doing anything. He might win an overwhelming majority of the time. That's not a revelation; that's common sense. I suspect this might be why he is so good at tvt, though... Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but Destination strikes me as one of the worst maps for FE (rax cc). I realize the bridge helps you out once you have a sieged tank, but there are far more negatives to me than positives. I saw BIsu, at least 2 times, make flash look horrible on destination, and his play wasn't too far off from what you're suggesting would be overpowered. If you're talking about a normal fast expo with a fast third, then I can imagine it well because I remember seeing it fail.

Guys... WTF. You're playing for like $1000, you saying you're not willing to practice a map that you wouldn't usually play? o.o

Othello is actually a good map, though I personally dislike it. As is Blue Storm(though I like this one).

nono, i'm happily playing this and agree with w/e maps the administration comes up with (its "their tourney" after all). Just saying there is a reason why old maps are not used anymore, and that it would probably be better to use current maps for further rounds.

Would it be possible to have highly knowledgeable casters co-cast alongisde rD.Sayle like last time? Sayle is an epic caster and he would be complemented well by a gosu or two or three.

I very much doubt any of that applies at the level of play we're going to be seeing in this tournament.

Read the post below yours for #1 and #2.

#3: I think you might get warned the first time and get banned the second. In my experience though, if it's funny/witty the TL mods appreciate it just as much as anyone else.

Can you just re-randomize the new people who drop/enter into corresponding groups? I don't want to have to re-adjust my practice b.os already if my group switches to protoss and zerg.

Has someone talked to pholon (or any of the mods) about getting this on the calender yet? It really should be.

Wouldn't that counter the agenda of phasing BW out in favor of Starc2?

Please read post #2 and post #70. I will be re-randomizing the groups tomorrow and then submitting a proper calendered event.

sorry i wrote in the wrong thread (in the other ISL2 thread) and i can't find delete button for that thread T.T so i write here again

i don't have a computer and i was not online for more than 3 weeks, didn't know i made it through ladder stage and i uploaded my replay pack to that address 2 minutes ago, am i too late??

it looks like my group is scheduled for next week, and the content of my replay pack remain Last
unchanged, would be nice if deadline could be extended!!! just curious if im too late >.<

"In order to give leniency to those who actually have legitimate reasons for not sending in their replay packs on time, I am re-drawing the deadline per week to Thursday 2359EDT"

this is the rule, does this mean my due date differs from those playing on different weeks? in other words, i have an extra week more than the week-1 players to submit?

and importantly i am safe?!

Hey GoD, if you read the post under the OP it explains that you have until the Thursday of the week you play to submit. You'll be fine.

1 more question!! i read all the rules and i can't find this rule anywhere

it seems iccup season reset didn't happen and i still have my ISL2 stats.

I know that I can't transfer the stats, and currently my stats have 52 games totally, and I sent 52 replays to the address

Am I allowed to play additional games from now without having to send in extra replays, just for practice?? since i don't have another ladder account and don't want to start at D again >.<

3 out of 10... How many did you want? It can't get much closer to a third.

If you are unable to play on the date but play each of the opponents once, can you then choose to use those replays in your absence? I don't see much benefit but it could help with people in such circumstances who are not able to attend those dates.

i.e; you are player A, you beat player B; then you have played C and D on replay, if C or D is the winner you host that replay then the other replay will become void unless needed for the final game. (reverse works if you lose opening game)

Why are there so many walk outs? Aren't there players who were close to qualification who could take over spots if qualified players choose not to play?

Yes, but last ISL was like that because the 57-62 players were really good players. Putting in 50% C- players is not exactly helpful. Quality =/= quantity.

Well I'm sure there are some players who didn't qualify for whatever reason who could beat some of the player who did qualify. Your call though.

I think each weekend will only get better and better since the first weekend had a lot of walkovers and bad players. I am looking forward especially to watching Pez,Ramms, Terror, Teacher, Astro, Lastgosu, Flip and LML! Lastgosu especially looking forward to.

Also, I really liked 2 casters, x2 the insight.

Terranboy no longer has stats, I guess he's removed? Also I am wondering when /who is in my group I might be late.

I've sent a message to everyone in my group asking if we can PP our matches 2 hours, because on the 20th, 7 CEST, I am at work, and will be home 9 CEST. I also wrote here earlier, but nobodt replied.

What happens if I can't get in touch with them?

10AM PST. 19CET --> 1PM East Coast/10AM West Coast. As far as the groups go, they are played simultaneously, BUT, referees hold certain players/groups to be casted, so there might be a few minute delay in between games. And yes, all games are bo1. Most groups finished last week within a couple of hours.

All efforts to PP matches are independent. Read what I wrote to Assault. If no one will PP with you, you will get W.Oed.

Regarding the "Eliminated ISL2 Players" /transfer Question:
Once you are no longer in any stage of ISL2, you may do whatever you want with your stats. However, for historical value, it would be recommended that you save your ISL2 stats on your ISL2 account. TSL allowed their players to transfer, so if anyone were to look up TSL-IefNaij or whomever, there would be no stats to show what they had. If you understand this concept, cool. If you don't understand this concept, do as you please.

Ok, thanks. I have contacted them all on ISL2 accounts, and now I made a thread about it also. Since this is over a week to our games, hopefully they will see it.

Question, if I understood correctly; If I can get hold of ISL2-Lion, which is my first match, and I win him. But then forfit those other games, and win again on HBR, if I get my opponent to agree, I will still get trough as nr #2 ?

Yes. But for clarity purposes, understand that you need to get all 3 people to agree to PP the final match on HBR versus you, so that the player you would be verse will be obligated to playing the match at the agreed time. Make sure to provide proof if any of these things happen.

Also remember that to play Lion you need to provide proof via one of the replay contact methods, and give us the time and day that it will be played so that a referee can be there.

One other thing to note for all players is that any match that is agreed to be played earlier that can be supplemented a referee cannot be played until the beginning of Friday of the play week due to the extended replay deadline.

turn off your antivirus before running it, turn it back on afterwards.
Or see if you can add an exception to your antivirus program.

I am having trouble fathoming why people wouldn't show up for a $1500 tournament when they have about a 1 in 100 chance of winning it. I really want to see some good games!

Playa just didn't show.
Maximin had someone post that he is withdrawing.
Pidgin wasn't there, no clue why.
Hannigan was the only player from fOsc that came for iCCupCL vs vTv, really strange he didn't show for ISL2 which was only a couple of hours later.

so in terms of the 2 proposed choices that Game is debating between, the option of more invites is easier and less of a headache, but the option of a Losers' Tournament will be a hassle to organize however -> great to watch (and bet on) if all of the losers decide to show up.

The problem with this is that terran is only that insanely strong positional faction at the very top korean level. Below that, if anything, they struggle slightly. As such, it is not hardly a handycap for protoss to use old maps, but perhaps giving terran a chance.

Are you serious?
Even back in the days it was a pain to play PvT on bluestorm already, all T has to do is to take his side of the map and campcampcamp, make turrets with spidermines behind against recalls, scan enough to be sure there are no carriers coming and just take his side of the map.
Known fact: If P and T have the same amount of bases overall, T wins. Cheap units ftw.. Hence, P is more likely to cheese pretty hard, for a very valid reason.

Terranboy no longer has stats, I guess he's removed? Also I am wondering when /who is in my group I might be late.

Looking forward to watching groups 8, 11 and 12.

well rules doesn't say anything about clearstats as far as I know. Only transfer is not allowed

Isn't he [a.G]TerranBoy? He basically had the same stats on that ID, anyway I don't see the difference of clearing or transferring, you are losing the stats either way. I would just like to know if my group remains the same or not.

It all depends on how many players collectively didn't send in their replays per play day. Like this week (Play Day #2), only two people are missing replays therefore, I won't touch the groups.

Almost 100% positive that TerranBoy cleared after he played Fosken for a pre-played match.

If I confirm what you say is true, another player will replace him. Well, at least they'll be given the chance to. Whether they do or not would be solely up to them.

When will that new player be chosen? Because, since this is true, just check his previous score in matchlist, and match it with his score now on the "new" account Anywho, I need to know who the 4th will be, so I can ask him to PP the games 2 hours. No luck so fare, and iCCup removed my thread on their site, so I made another one in despite.

if you are living in CET zone, then 19, because it's simply summer/winter time. And we have either CET or CEST but not both at once.

edit: we are currently -7hours to the KST clock top right.

I know this is a bit late but...

Players who will not be allowed to play tomorrow (Day 2):

(T)(ru)ISL2-Zasranec
ISL2.Favorite
us ISL2.lastgosu
(T)(pe)ISL2-TerranBoy (already played one of his matches and then reset his account)

The groups will not be re-randomized. Hope to see everyone there tomorrow, and good luck players.

Valid point. Would've been an ISL1 repeat, or a slightly different format, or we even proposed a qualifier tournament format. However, this is the format that was chosen for greater entertainment value, amongst other reasons.

Edit: So far the players that haven't shown, and the ones that won't show have already quit BW or gone inactive... which has no bearing on their lack of group stage appearance whatsoever.

1. Why would you reset?
2. Not only was it said tons of times, the rules also contain it: Keep the stats on your account.

imo, additional invites suck, cause invited players are obviously more skilled, then those ones, who could qualify from groups.

Cmon, guys, i just wanted to say it is not fear towards other players, who came and lost, and were not so lucky to receive a group with WO's. Obvly i am not going to make it far in this tournament.
Or if invites will be only from players, who lost? i just think that players, who did not came without serious reason, do not deserve to be invited.

Great tour (thx) and gl rest of players.

Plum, I'm not sure how to take that statement really. I don't think you meant it offensively, but inviting any player who didn't show or really put any effort into the tournament would be very lackluster on my part, and not ever going to happen.

This is written by a player, and not confirmed. But, just so you understand, anti-hack is a hack itself. You must create a hack to prevent hacks, and then any hacker that wants to will make a hack to override it. iCCup's anti-hack doesn't work, nor does Mini-Launcher, nor does wLauncher. I promise you on everything that we have had something made to catch hackers, and for some, prevent them.

However, I'm pretty sure you understand that no launcher that you are aware of actually prevents hacks, especially iCCup's, which has an entire team dedicated to maintaining it (but failing to do so).

Needless to say, nothing will change due to 3xile's thread. He told me about it with his Korean-friend who put him onto the entire idea that _everyone hacks_ roughly an hour after posting it. As you can see, I've posted in that thread.

I only read the start and I know that no anti-hack is hack proof but maybe mini is easier to abuse.

:D thanks Ribbon. I've now got a 100% smooth stream, so my stream is becoming better by each week hehe.

As for this whole antihack thing, it's a pretty tricky situation... but it shouldn't affect this tournament, since every replay goes through counter-abuse.

I'm down for some bets.. How about you choose any two people you think will win ISL2. If either win then you win, otherwise me

Dave, any idea what the final group 16 will be? Who will step for Para? I've gotten Cryoc to agree, but still no reply from ISL-Lion aka Lion(OD)

MaD, you've given me a platform to make an announcement, thank you. I don't know who will replace ParA yet, no responses from the lower players.

However, To All Players:
Due to 4 missing replay packs (3 from one group), the groups for Day 3 will be re-randomized besides Group 16 if the replay packs that are missing are not submitted by at least two players by Thrusday August 18th @ 2359EDT (August 19th 0559CET).

I know this is sort of random but if too many people drop out can we do some random show-match for people who should/could have qualified but failed to(i know it may be unfair but replacing with c- level players is rather boring)? i.e karate/castro, etc
I don't need luck, luck is for noobs, good luck to you though

Why don't you guys just pick a group of 10 players and go 1 at a time to pick 5 each, whoever gets the most furthest in the tour (due to an agreed pt system) gets the money. The first pick will be determined by a Bo99 rock paper scissors on sayle's stream.

it wouldn't be 1:1 odds if i'm picking only 2 out of 64 players to take it all.

Guys... there will be re-randomization this week, why are you talking about betting on unset groups?

nothing has been confirmed in terms of betting on ISL2 Matches, Assaulty was just trying to get me to throw money with 1:1 odds for who will win the Event, when his proposition is a highly one-sided gamble.

Also, Dave. Since my first opponent is ISL2-Lion, but he hasn't answered me yet, and IF that's a big if, if he doesn't show up, but I come 2 hours later, who will get the WO etc. Since this will be in the last moment, I will try to change my shift from late to early, so I can make it. Hope this will work with those I work with. Have to show some dedication ;--)

Upon that "if" factor becoming real, he would receive the W.O for the first round and then go on to play in every other round normally, getting W.Oed if he still doesn't show only because you have informed me of your situation and desire to play.

P.S. MaD, ParA's replacement didn't answer in time so although he's DQ'd he'll sit in the group as a dummy player.

I assume enouf players dropped out so that there is one group less playing. It will be the same as on day 1 where also only 5 groups played.

Please read the thread thoroughly. Re-randomization has taken place throughout the entirety of the group stages.

Enough players did not send in their replay packs that the groups needed to be re-randomized. jinSuS is one of those players.

Why are old maps even cycled in/out? It causes all kinds of balancing problems. I don't see any point in not just using the maps professionals play on and not using Blue Storm, Benzene, etc...

Possibly stemming from your past BM and response to an invite being "fuck off" two days ago. Or it could be that we were discussing our opinions on you, seems I was not the only person with that view.

yeah haha i got this:

Hello FlaF and WhistleR,

You are receiving this PM as an invite to a small private tournament. It will be the third (3rd) LRM) island tournament. It is more exclusive and a 2v2 island tournament. There will be a maximum of 8 teams, but if you are receiving this PM - your ally is up to you. Also, if you are receiving this, you were requested to play by the sponsor specifically. The thread will be made late tomorrow or Saturday during the 4th day of ISL2.

Sincerely,

LRM)Game

and i reply'd "fuck off" ^^

but ur an admin.. im not, so keep ur manner up game

Sorry DraW you can probably relate to this but I'm having really bad computer issues right now. Hopefully tonight *pray that my computer doesn't shut off before I can randomize the brackets etc* I can get everything I need to Pholon to make the Round of 64 thread. To be very honest my control over this is very limited right now besides information, and hopefully Pholon can come through.

whistler, you get invited to another prize tournament & your response to the host/organizer is "fuck off"?

you're a complete moron, i hope you get fucking owned vs your 1st in Ro64. undeserving pos. don't be surprised if you never get invited to anything else *subtext* = banned from future events. and yes, that means there will be other opportunities post-ISL2,

I didn't BM him, I stated my opinion about him in a group conversation. I'm not really going to clear up too much on this because it's clearly trollbait, but WhistleR has never said anything good about me behind my back or to my face, and I don't expect that to change. His lack of manner are noted nearly everywhere he goes, as well as mine, but in this case me stating my dislike for him really has no pertinence to this tournament nor my ability or actions in running it. I'm only quoting you because you put it best btw SNM

There's a hero
If you look inside your heart
You don't have to be afraid
Of what you are
There's an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know
Will melt away

Chorus
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

It's a long road
When you face your world alone
No one reaches out a hand
For you to hold
You can find love
If you search within yourself
And the emptiness you felt
Will disappear

Chorus

Lord knows
Dreams are hard to follow
But don't let anyone
Tear them away
Hold on
There will be tomorrow
In time
You'll find the way

Chorus
Hows it going guys, long time no see

lets do some math.

Say kidcanada has an 85% chance to beat anyone he plays. After 6 rounds, (0.85)^6 = 38% chance to win the tournament. So chances are that he won't end up winning.

I like how someone who lost was just invited back into the tournament...Maybe you should just invite all the favorites back after they lose for every single round...until all the players you deem less worthy are eliminated.

I like how someone who lost was just invited back into the tournament...Maybe you should just invite all the favorites back after they lose for every single round...until all the players you deem less worthy are eliminated.

Thanks for your opinion. Just kidding. I don't need coaching lessons on organization from you, so for the greater good of your fingers well being, just keep your suggestions to yourself.

In response to AstrO (don't wanna quote) I re-invited him due to his high level of play, his effort shown in ISL2, manner, and overall zest to play the game. He played really well in the group stages and thus deserved a second chance. Otherwise, his invite would've been optioned to a player who put literally no effort into qualifying or playing in ISL2. Ironic, because one of the invites fits that category.

P.S the last invite confirmed today and it is... + Show Spoiler +
AlfiO
I thought it only to be fair to announce this given the knowledge of all of the other invites via the liquipedia page.

ZvZ can go either way, Karate has been playing very well as of late (most wins in gambit) and has beaten top zergs before so why not? Predictions are your own opinions, if I'm wrong I'm wrong.

I'd spend more time worrying about your own group than my predictions.

castro and kolll are not that active and zvz is coinflip, probably why people predict karate to win. However, I believe that if I beat dragon in first round, sziky will be no problem expect to see some mind control.

edit: and I dont even know who ttf or ruarc is so I expect it will be a free win.
I don't need luck, luck is for noobs, good luck to you though

It must be the hardest thing in the world to read things.
Maybe read before saying you are wondering, if you were really wondering you would try to inform yourself by first checking every relevant threads?
It's been announced together with the ISL2 itself: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=236263
