If I was KeSPA, I would've done absolutely everything in my utmost powers to reschedule in China. This is so dumb of them I'd be astounded if I didn't come to expect this from them. The likelihood of rescheduling it in China is slim because the sponsors incurred big losses due to the postponement of the finals. This much was explained on Fomos. Kespa isn't god, if sponsors like Shinhan Bank don't want to reschedule it in China, then no go. It would also be very costly for the proteams to fly their players and staff into China again, not to mention the scheduling conflict. They have to arrive in China 1-2 days before the match, book hotel rooms/PC bangs to practice etc. There's just not enough time with STX Cup and OSL etc going on. Put aside your Kespa hatred for awhile and you might actually see some logic.

Definitely don't want Flash, Fantasy and Bisu to die in China. I want to see them play Starcraft 2 one day.

Quoted for Truth.
Sure the cancellation was the worst thing that happened to BW in china but that's only because they haven't endured too much. I think they have bigger things to worry about, like a level 9 typhoon for example. It's not 100% up to kespa to reschedule in china. Just like it wasn't 100% their fault they had to cancel the event. They were going to go with the event regardless of a code orange from the government. They did this because they knew that rescheduling in china would have been slim to none had they cancelled.
Kespa needs sponsors for a reason; they don't have the funds to make the events. This means they have to go with what the sponsors want to do with their money. I'm sure it took endless negotiation and convincing for shinhan bank to hold the event in china. And now that all that money is down the drain, the only logical solution to a company of that caliber is to hold the even in korea.

Oh WOW...I came in expecting hundreds of pages, and when I only saw 56, I knew something was wrong...whoa. Guess it will be rescheduled then. Not sure whether this is good or bad, but I'll roll with it.

And then right when the finals finish upload the real pr with the fake linked in at the cnbc section. Or wait and have the typhoon and yellow in the shoutout section.

this is all just a cheap shot to make this thread reach 200 before the match starts the date was known

They will retire. They not going to play SC2. Ever.

I guess there are some pros to this. More hype... in Korea again... uhhh... ???
It just makes me sad because this kills KT's momentum or allows them to prepare better which kind of kills some of the playoff/seed dynamic.

There's thousands sc fans from all over China to Shanghai to watch the SPL final, one of my friends spend 5 hours flying from north east of China to Shanghai, he was very upset too.
When the fans see KT and SKT players present, they are so exiting, I have a pregame video to share for you.

I know why this was postponed!!! KESPA and China saw this thread and deemed it unfit to start the finals till this before it hit 100 pages...

Obviously all the gods want to keep this until 2 weeks so Flash's wrist can repose and rape Bisu *hides*

The mob of fans following Jaedong was hilarious. It would have also have been great if Bisu waved at the crowd on the bus

Did KeSPA still retain those deals they had with local Chinese TV stations to rebroadcast the PL Finals? After all, it was the viewership ratings/numbers that was going to truly matter, not the live audience..

I don't think that news ever made it to TL :/ How many stations were they working with?
Side note: That Chinese video of the finals was cool.

awesome vid indeed even has 2 TL-ers in it (Endy and American guy whose name I forgot (SRY! bad name memory ^^), kespa also flew in somekorean fans, they paid 75% of the cost of their stay and flight... i htink it was around 10-20 ppl for each team.. so that was also extra cost... we talked to one of the korean fans for a little bit, he seemed like a nice guy and his english was good so that was cool, of course they were also disappointed and didn't seem to know what was going on since the only announcement they made was in Chinese... too bad they couldnt reschedule to today... weather is fine it seems :{ had some rain and semi hard wind late last night/early in the morning but nothing too bad ...
