Jangbi might have been on two bases, but they were saturated bases compared to JD, who had 4 bases with very little drones. The observers showed this. JD had to build nothing but units to hold off the "cheese".

Have to say I am really impressed by Jangbi's PvZ, long been known has his worse matchup. A Jangbi resurgence is good for the protoss race and maybe that game will prove some of his haters wrong.

Corsair/DT play was basically non existent in the 2nd half of the game. Could use more storm drops. If Jangbi can add those he'll be scary. Bisu level pvz. Though easier said than done.

Oh hell no. Jaedong on top if his game is unbeatable even by flash. When he plays a normal game and doesn't try to be super greedy his play is near unbeatable it seems :D

Unfortunately, while Jangbi's back in form in terms of his control, he's also back in form in terms of his willingness to keep being aggressive.
My biggest problem with his game was that he was on 1 robo the whole time. When you're playing late-game PvZ, you need reavers to counter defilers. In that, Jangbi failed.

Could people stop talking about bases? Bases doesn't always matter with zerg. If you only looked at the screen the 234234 times the observer pointed out the lack of drone saturation in Jaedong's base, you'd see that for a long time, his production capability was less than that of Jangbi's.
Jaedong had "long term" advantage, in that he had more bases. Jangbi had "short term" advantage, in that he had more income for quite a while in the mid-game to mid-late-game.
The game basically came down to Jangbi unable to use his short term advantage to turn it into a decisive advantage. So Jaedong's long term advantage eventually came through. Basically, Jangbi missed his timing, if you can call like 5-10 minute window timing.

Jangbi made too many HT, I guess. Didn't have enough gas for more reavers, since JD kept killing his reavers with lings + plague.
Edit: Since reaver > HT when it comes to lurkers imo.

There's no point in sending a rookie out unless you think he's ready for the playoffs. OTOH, Juni is arguably Khan's 2nd best zerg(not a compliment since they have no zergs). So it's not a bad choice.
Khan's weird in that they have 7 capable players for the playoffs already in Stork/Jangbi/Grape/Brave/Reality/Turn/great. The problem is the horrible racial imbalance. If there are two heavily zerg favored map come playoff time, they might be off playing great + one other zerg. Rather than forcing a toss or terran on it.
sad jd not being in playoffs, didnt cared much for this match, hope neither did the players or else its embarassing.. stars seems in a better momentum than kt, but kt is impressive when they prepare hard for a specific match - dunno which one is toughe

I mean he storm dropped... killed tons of OLs with sairs... got tons of drones with DTs... got reavers... kept up the agression... made archons (don't tell me he should have made goons, swarm+lurker was out) and got up to 5 bases vs 4.5 bases for a while.
Yet, lurk/swarm at 2 chokes held forever and let JD get up to 7 bases... I'm so sad Jangbi lost a "won" game.

Oz's players werent consistent with each other. Like when JD wins, the rest of team fails. And when Oz goes well then JD isn't there (in terms of wins) to finish it off.

Personal opinion of a viewer/former-D player, Jangbi was way too aggressive. If that was Stork, he'd basically try to keep Jaedong in his 4 bases while expanding everywhere. Once you let Jaedong get out of his two naturals, he was able to get two more bases.
Also Jangbi didn't make go with multiple Robos in the late game. This was the decision I really didn't understand. Jangbi's army composition was horrible against hydra/lurker/ling/defiler. He needed either massive amount of templars or reavers. Reaver was the better choice IMO since he had one mineral-only base.
That said, Jaedong's reaver snipes in that game was nothing short of amazing. So one could forgive Jangbi for thinking his 2 reavers were enough.

Nah, Jaedong shouldn't transfer anywhere, he should be like Totti and stay loyal to a team that doesn't let him win anything despite him being up there with the best of them as an individual; it's a really respect-worthy trait IMO. Team loyalty for the win.

Well, if there is some 1-on-1 Basketball league, Lebron would probably win a lot of them.
But Jaedong once lost to Cuteangel in the SPL finals.

Lebron will always ALWAYS choke in the big game. Look at is stats in the finals against Dallas. It wasn't, Lebron has amazing stats but the team lost, no that was Wade (who I would say is more like JDs NBA comparison), Lebron's stats (especially in the 4th quater aka clutch time) were garbage. Wait, what? Have you seen the winrates of CJ's Protoss line? Sure, Jangbi has been on fire recently (finally Jangbi is back :D), but Stork and Brave's performances have been... mediocre at best. Movie and Horang2 have been beastly ever since WL, whereas Snow is decent-to-mediocre. I like both teams a lot... but realistically, other than Jangbi, and maybe Stork/Brave/Reality/Turn performing some of the time, I don't see Khan taking down Horang2/Movie/Leta/Hydra with stronger preparation... but I suppose they've done it a few times already. We'll see.

Well....probably not ZerO but Jaedong is the ONLY zerg have the stamina to stay in-game and make a comeback and not be lazy and just give up right there. Anyone would be like "GG" instead of fighting till the very end. Jaedong's endurance is just OP.

Just watched JD vs Jangbi, that was an amazing game. This map make it seems too easy to turtle on 4 bases for zergs with the current metagame.
Seriously, Jangbi had a 50 supply advantage + stormed all the drone in JD's main that was quite well saturated, if I didn't see the results earlier, I would have thought it was over.
That's also how Bisu lost to ZerO, on the same map. I'm surprised protoss don't tech to arbiters after taking a third when seeing the zerg is turtling. The location JD burrowed all his lurkers was quite far from the main, so you can use arbiters the same way you use them in PvT with recalls, forcing lurkers to unburrow like tanks have to unsiege, and go back to defend the main. And in PvZ sniping tech buildings is even more efficient than in PvT.
Anyway, Jangbi showed he was in shape, but the Dong is really scary recently. I'm looking forward to see them in MSL/OSL !
^ That's always been Jangbi's problems though, even at his peak. His continued aggression prevent him from taking a step back and making more macro-oriented decisions when they're warranted. This kind of sucks, because you'd think he'd learn from Stork after all these years how to analyze the macro game and know when to back off.
Other than his 2 initial reavers, Jangbi didn't try to make anything that counters turtling lurker/defiler zerg.
