europe has 30 countries? wow

European union has 25 countries alone. Add norway, swiss, bulgaria, romanina, ukraine, belarus, albania, croatie, serbia, moldavia, macedonia, bosniaand maybe russia and turkey. Then theres still some independant states

I would really like to be invited it for this as well. But I probably won't since I didn't compete in wcg 2004 (??? nld orga was crap and everyone had to pay themselves) , regardless of my current skill.

(dont ever say nld orga was crap, because you should be happy you even got given the oppertunity to pay for yourself. This wasnt even the situation at first. Besides you really screwed dutch wcg orga over)

if paying for urselves isn't crap to you, then i dunno, but yeah it was nice they given us that oppurtunity but from that point of view you can't expect for everyone to just pay for themselves to go. So you won't have all top players guaranteed.

Uhm... the deal was that Benny trusted us four that we would all pay our own tickets. We all said in a shared MSN convo that we would be willing to pay if we'd qualify. Yes you said that too, so you kinda screwed them over.

That you decided after that convo that you would suddenly NOT pay for your own ticket, it's not their fault, it's yours ;O

but. say what you want, you can't say the organisation was crap. I'm really thankful for the Dutch orga that we were given the chance to participate. If it were any other organisation that wasn't as trustful as Benny, we wouldn't even have BW players at WCG.

I already know that Twisted you think I suffer memory loss? um yeah like I said it was nice for them to do that for us, and I said that cuz I really believed in it but some stuff came up. :\ since tuig went they didn't really get screwed over anyway.

but I think if you have to pay yourself, that equals crap. And as an organisation you can't expect everyone to pay for themselves and go with it, so you don't have the guarantee all top players will participate if you use a pay yourself method. And they never had 100% guarantees, it was very 'unofficial' and not binding. I had good intentions to go and pay for myself but some stuff came up and that's life. That's my point.

It's about ECG now anyway, and surely I deserve to go much more than tuig.

hmm...just noticed, the oldest game besides sc is cs1.6 from 2000, which i guess will be replaced by cs2 soon. leaving bw as the oldest game (1997) and wc3 (2003) as the 2nd oldest. Kinda tells you a bit about the quality of the game and the community around the game no? :D

naaah, come on .. cs 1.6 is not THE big step forward from 1.0-1.5, the graphics and the gameplay are basically the same and it's not that much newer than bw.

But i think its hard for samsung to know which players deserve to go...im sure they are thinking the players who qualify for wcg should be the best players and the easiest way to go...hard for ppl who barely know how the community looks in europe to pick out others players than those who qualified for the only worthmentioning tournament of the year.
So yea everyone knows breakdown is better than methos but breakdown didnt wanna participate in the wcg and show he was better than methos and therefor he didnt get picked for this either.
Btw paid trip for everyone or just the germans to hanover? :D
