After the dust of the initial rush settled Hydra was extremely far behind. Mind had already mined a ton of Gas and had his Academy finished and Medics out when Hydra just made his first Extractor. He had no tech and faced an army of Firebats and Medics so Zerglings would not do anything and he was forced to build 5 very fast Sunkens. He decided to go for a 3-Hatch-Spire build and because it takes long to get there when you get the Gas late he was forced to build even more Sunkens.
Mind then made a crucial mistake and attacked into the 7 Sunkens before Mutas finished to end the game instead of conserving his Army. He lost most of his M&Ms but killed some Drones to put even more pressure on Hydras already weak Eco.
Nonetheless the exchange was bad for him and allowed Hydra to get back into the game, though Mind was still ahead.
From then on Mind played the game flawless while Hydras Micro left him multiple times so the strong M&M + Vessel + Tank push ended the game just before Consume was done.
