I hope Sea comes out and wins his game, poor guy needs a pick-me-up after getting eliminated from the MSL.
We're sure to see some great games, but I'm thinking SKT is going to take this one, especially if Best comes out playing like he did in his match against Flash.

Why at least he and bisu lost to good people. its not like he lost to 815 and pokju
I meant it as more of an accumulation of his combined failure in individual leagues. I watched the group ceremony and he seemed so sad getting put into that group, like he was resigned to his fate. Proleague has always been his place to shine, so I just hope he continues to do well.
It depends.. on average, games are played in 20-40 mins per game .. can range from 2 hours to 3 hours per set. Your 1st BW game, I pressume? :D
I've never watched a whole set live before.
You're in for a treat! Watching the best of the best games through VODs is fine and dandy, but you'll never get quite the same feeling as you do when you watch the games live. Everything feels much more epic, to me at least.

you're not the only one. you will really feel the excitement if your favorite player or team is playing. you will be watching at the edge of your seat.

Yep!
Even when I try my best to not be spoiled and watch it without knowing how many sets/who wins each game, its definitely not the same feeling as watching live.
When watching VODs i tend to skip a lot of the boring parts (first couple mins of some matchups), whereas even when watching live I find the worker splits interesting.

From what I could tell Fantasy never really found an answer to Sea's mass Wraiths. Felt like Fantasy was on the back-foot after the initial decision to split the map with expansions.
Stream is up now. Connection hasn't been too stable for the past few days so it might randomly freeze, at which point it may take anywhere from 5-10 min for me to get it working again.

If only it was that straightforward SKT Zergs and Fantasy are consistently inconsistent. Still, it's only fair on the other teams, as when SKT Zergs win consistently SKT goes 9-0.

In my opinion, one game, no matter how well-played it is, is not enough to say that any player is on fire. It's a good sign for Best without a doubt, but we've seen players play extremely well for a game or two and then go back to sucking.

Then allow me to say that as Best's best matchup, his PvT will continue to remain strong in light of the game - to the point it will become on fire. While our semantics are very interesting, I mean no hostility, in the end this is pointless banter coming from my fanboy mouth.

I'm still skeptical, but that's a reasonable position to take.
You can always count on Jaehoon to give the opposing team some breathing room.
Oh give him a break, he already won his first two games. I suppose he has to go unbeaten in a round for people to stop bashing him.
Problem is, when Jaehoon loses it's often through some stupid mistake(say, storming his own mineral line), while his wins tend to be fairly unremarkable, so people remember the losses and forget about the wins.
Nice one SoO. I was quite worried when his opening got scouted and I still wonder if that transition was planned or improvised. The Muta timing was good.
That's three proleague wins in a row. 어윤수 fighting!

Really just depends who Coach Park thought would be played on which map, and how well BeSt's PvP is going atm.
I feel like I'm watching a different game than some of the previous posters, Bisu is up a base and has map control. The game may not be officially over, but I don't see how hyun can win barring a blunder from Bisu.
So is Hyun just defending constantly, or is he counter-attacking? Because based on the LRs it sounds like Hyun's just sim city'd it up (albeit successfully so far).

His PvZ has always been godlike. I can't really think of any particular vZ matchup that wasn't well played. Unfortunately, his PvT and PvP need a major tune-up if he genuinely wants to win another MSL or first OSL.

That's insane. I was a fan when Bisu upset Savior. But I think that game showed a level that I haven't seen in...a while. Even when at his peak he never made it look so easy. He seemed kinda bored and I'm not sure what Hyun should have done.

The map is balanced for PvZ.
Neo Aztec is different because of how Zergs can now creep up in that area in front of the natural and build sunkens to help defend. Makes any sort of attack by Protoss extremely difficult. There is a good reason why almost every game played on this map has featured a Zerg thus far..
On May 01 2011 15:05 ArvickHero wrote: good god, the map made this game a lot closer than it should've been..
precisely my point ...
the whole game basically consisted of Hyun turtling his ass up for 30 mins with only a sole attempt of attacking (mass mutas + scourges into Bisu's main but fail miserably) ... so bisu just massed up and made sure Hyun was not getting his 5th and that was it ... even though the game reached the reaver, archon, defiler stage, it was pretty much one sided ... if it weren't for the map design which made sim city so strong, Hyun would have been crushed like 12 mins into the game

As inconsistent as Fantasy is, he does tend to be consistently clutch in Ace matches. Having said that, Bisu tends to just outmacro Sea in PvT and roll him with gateway units. Without Light Sea was always going to be MBC's choice, so a little bit surprising from Coach Park (though pretty predictable when you consider how he likes to mix things up).

GTR stream down? o.o Sea 14 cc Fantasy scouts down towards 5 Lifts rax and fact is complete 2nd fact building Sea has 1 fact building with his nat in affect One of the Terrorists vultures is in the base 3 kills with that micro

Having said that, Bisu tends to just outmacro Sea in PvT and roll him with gateway units. Without Light Sea was always going to be MBC's choice, so a little bit surprising from Coach Park (though pretty predictable when you consider how he likes to mix things up).
Sea is also quite clutch in Ace matches, so we can hope for a good game here
(It blows my mind how someone so consistent in high-pressure PL matches can get so cripplingly nervous in a single league round of 8 or 16...)
Sea has one of his own vutlures Fantasy got 6 kills out of that Two facts with add ons for Fanta only one is spining Sea loses his first vulture Also building a starpot Now both of Fanta's add ons are spining Fantasy's rax landed outside of Sea's nat choke Tank taking shots at the bunker Seige mode! Fantasy making a bunker of his own First wraith is out Gets chased back by marines Tanks are in range of the nat, forces rax and CC lift Two tanks for Sea Both go down! Fantasy has only 1 vutlure and marines but is pushing Sea into his main 2 wraiths MINES ARE COMPLETE FOR FANATSY Vultures going to town on scvs
30 supply to 12 Sea has about 30 minerals Fantasy's rax is landed in Sea's main but is forced lift Mine blocking CC from relanding Armory up for Fanta Two goliaths Vultures are chilling outside of Sea's nat Fantasy looking to expand to his nat
Were games so long or something happend inbetween them prolonging this match?I was supposed to wake up for this at 6am but decided to stay in bed, now i check TL and this match is still on o.O
Tank getting shots on the gols over the ridge Bunker is going to go down Tanks are parked on either side of the ridge One goliath for Fantasy Fantasy should BC rush MINE takes out a tank, and seriously damages the 2nd Sea has vison on Fantas'y tank line, but only one tank If that wraith is fast enough it can take out two tanks It does Rax goes down
Fantasy does not have vision of the last tank Sea has his scvs back mining from the nat Fantasy has a starport of his own now Sea's add on is spinning Sea loess his tank over the ridge GG
Good job Fantasy for winning the ace match, and great job to SKT today! We're gonna get interviews from the FBB trio, whoohoo :DDD Better luck next time to MBC though, it was a close and tough fight.
Thanks to Musou for the stream and dukethegold for making the thread!

....who am I kidding, it's always a good day to be an SKT fan :D
This man speaks true words.
Today was the Best day to be an SKT fan though.
Haha. In all seriousness, it's great seeing Best win some games in fairly convincing fashion - hopefully it'll get his confidence back up to what it used to be.

Completely agree, beside SKT I cheer for MBC and Ace too, MBC have "good aura" around them and Ace have "heroic aura".
What's with people getting overexcited by Bisu's game in the LR? I just watched the VOD, he was playing 5 bases to 4 for the majority of the game. Hyun's defence was quite impressive the whole game despite the disadvantage, but the loss was inevitable. Bisu was infact quite wasteful considering the situation, against a better player that may have turned out much worse, if he had got starved out.
It was still a solid game i guess but hardly 'OMG MULTITASK' worthy.

It was nice to see storm drops from Bisu often though. We rarely get to see those anymore from him because they all die to the zealot pushes

He was intentionally torturing Hyun by starving him to death. With such an economy he could have massed an army of Reavers, HT and Archons and could have broken through whatever defense a four bases Zerg could afford. Still, his multitasking was fantastic, kinda show off but I liked it.
Bisu probably feels that he has a lot to live up to at the moment. In fact, I'd be willing to wager that there;s slight tension with Bisu and Park. the hi five seem to indicate so
Ok, so I'm watching Best play on VOD and I just saw the first corsair P turn. I am smiling ear to ear, why is it so funny that Best can actually do that?
BeSt looked like he was really trying to copy Bisu from the previous game in his play hehe. I notice his macro sucks in PvZ, he should play it more like Horang2 with mass gates.
