YJ has 2 dragoons in the way of the drop, but the vults do well with spider mines, driving them off, vultures in the minline getting a few probe kills, doing good damage
Skyhigh has his natural up and running, producing of of 3 factories. Tank loaded up into a dropship, no gas at skyhigh's nat. I think YJ is on 4 gateways
obs sees vultures and tanks going to the highground, goons come in and start shooting at the highground, retreat when it becomes clear that it isn't going to work. YJ has a shuttle out, forcing the drop away
YJ starts a nexus at this third, but is forced to cancel by the tanks. Goons moving in to clear it out, he'll be able to safely get it up soon. Skyhigh making more factories, bringing him up to 6, still only 1 with a machien shop.
More tanks getting dropped by YJ's third base, vultures are in the area to support, it's probably going to get cancelled. Looks like it's 7 factories, and 2 of them have addons. YJ pushing in towards skyhigh's third, but has to leave, with his shuttle in red HP
Skyhigh in YJ's natural, dealing quite a bit of damage, supported by tanks in the highground, shuttle with goons drops on top of them once the vults are cleared. Skyhigh pushing out with an actual army, YJ doesn't look like he has enough to defend.
Shuttle has been awful for awhile now but it's still good to see Skyhigh win. Maybe his B team demotion will help him get his enormous talent back together?
last match i remember it was probably the worst progame of all-time.
Was it against Fantasy?
no skyhigh and calm played each other on fighting spirit, korean netizens have repeatedly said that it was probably one of the worst games they've ever witnessed.
Movie drops a forge and denies Calm's nat expo with his probe. Drops a cannon and Nexus at his nat while Calm's lings drive the probe away enough for a hatch at Calm's expo.
Calm had put a Hatch at 7 o clock. Movie puts down a Stargate after his core finished warping in. Lair is done for Calm and drops a Spire at his main. Puts down 2 more hatcheries. The spire is done and Calm expands to a 4th.
Movie has templar tech and currently researching air weapons while dodging Scourge around the map. Loses a Corsair to scourge. Movie gears up to take a 3rd at 12 oclock. Calm as a hydra den but movie pushes in with a small army.
Calm is caught unprepared! Has no units and cannot defend the small zealot and one archon detachment. Did Movie just use the archon splash to kill the lurker?
Calm caught again with his pants down and no units to defend his third. DTs block lurkers from coming in to defend. Movie deals the final blow by elevating zealots and Calm gg's in frustration.
Ok, Im having trouble streaming but I think the Z went pool first and Movie is doing the standard forge FE. Z hiding his hydra tech at his third. Movie starts his Stargate.
Templar archives after Stargate. Z plants down a fourth and his hydras are revealed. Movie immediately puts down cannons for the impending bust. Will he hold?
Tense moment while tens of hydras stream to Movie's nat. Hero intends to drill in, busting cannon's but a storm and some probes drive them away. I think 4 gates down for movie and Hero happily drone's up.
by.hero always always ALWAYS goes mass hydras in ZvP; macro or all-ins, he's always going hydras! He's so frustratingly predictable, and his execution is always poor.
Hero's tech is so bad. I know his build secured him an early game economy advantage, but he's got no carapace and by the time protoss gets a deathball this big you're supposed to be close to defilers, because zerg armies don't hold against this unless you can keep the toss on two bases. He's doing a valiant job but that army is scary.
Movie's army is stalled until his Observer arrives. Hero holds for now. Movie's third is now operational and he decides to attack. Hero morphs sunkens for defense. His scourge can't find their target and movie pushes onward. Goons and templars ralling toward the front lines.
Yeah, just goes to show having more bases means nothing if you have a shit drone count and no tech.
I will honestly never understand this stxzerg pseudo-hydra bust thing. They do it all the time and it seems to lose more often than not to anyone who just doesn't die to the hydrabust -- if that's the case then just do a normal bust and drop the pretense of doing some weird hydrarush into mass expand crap. You're not protoss or terran.

He was playing from a big disadvantage after his failed bust. I think he played rather well, but unless Movie made a mistake, he wasn't going to have much of a shot.
The fate of STX will undoubtedly rest in the hands of Kal. He'll have to get past an on fire Movie and Hydra, the third win should come easy but getting there won't be easy.

They would still have Horang2 for the final game.
aww damnit forgot about him. Sorry I'm getting back into proleague after over half a year of not watching lol.
Kal is completely blind. Movie goes 4 gates. Kal drops a robotics facility. The gates are done and 2 goons head over to Kal's base. Kal drops a gateway and an observatory. This could spell doom.
Kal with 2 reavers warps in his expo. I guess he should slowly win with the tech and expo advantage. Kal warps in a shield battery. Movie moves out again with a large goon force and shuttle. An epic showdown is imminent! Movie losses his shuttle and reaver sloppily. This looks bad for movie and he gg's
Yesss, Kal builds a shield battery. I know it's practical sense to not build static defense structures if you can't help it, but I really think more PvPs should have shield batteries because of the over reliance of reavers in the early game.
Kal the golden toss at 12 o'clock Hydra the green zerg at 9 o'clock
Each player's scout meet each other and Hydra morphs in a pool. Kal Forge FE while Hydra's drone heads for a distant base to set a hatch. 2 cannons go up for Kal.
A lone zealot finds Hydra's base at 5 and the drones stop mining for a moment. Kills 2 zerglings and drone before dying. Another lone zealot arrives at Hydra's nat. 5 kills on this zealot and plenty of mining time from 2 patches.
Kal going Corsair reaver. Hydra with spire and hydralisk tech. Hydra puts down another hatchery at 4 o clock. Kal's zealots bothering hydra a lot. A shuttle picks up a reaver and heads for hydras nat! 7 kills for that reaver but he losses it to Mutas. Hydra rallies a counter attack.
Corsairs draw hydralisks away from the choke at the nat. Zealots come in. Another shuttle moving around. Kal's army heads for hydra's third. Huge scarab kills 5 drones at once. Hydra grimaces and his 3rd goes down. GG from Hydra.
