![]() Someone, make that medal consolation prize. So here we are, in first neither-Flash-nor-Jaedong OSL final since... Incruit 2008 Stork vs Fantasy meeting. Back then, we had quite exciting fight as Stork somehow managed to throw away early 2-0 lead and had to wrap it all up in the very last game. He made it though, passing silver-miner title to Jung Laden thx to Shield Battery very good Storms on Chupung-Ryeong. That moment was a pinnacle of his career: I don't think I've ever seen a person happier than Song Byung-Goo, who ran into the stream of champagne and celebrated with his KHAN friends. Then the clock started ticking and Dino Toss never came anywhere close to repeat his moment of glory. Till 2011... Today, we have a player with the same name and moniker, but everything else in his arsenal is different. He is damn good at handling the pressure in critical moments; after all, who managed to overcome old trauma and beat Shine during tiebreakers? Who calmly repulsed Hiya's agression despite being overwhelmed in previous set? Stork did, and he also held his nerves in difficult Pathfinder game against Modesty, when it ended up with mutual base trading. Unlike before, The Cellphone Progamer was capable of taking down agressive opponents with either patient defence or his own attacking strategies. Result? No more Iris/BackHo/Shine accidents. Never. ![]() This is what I expect if Fantasy somehow makes it to 20-minute mark. Now Stork is in PvT finals and his PvT remains gross, definitely second to none in the world and racing only with Flash's TvP for the best personal matchup award. Flash is in the audience though, and, as statistics reveal, all other Terrans have chronic trouble with Protoss, Fantasy being no exception. The maps are fine for Aiur: with huge, open plains of Gladiator (so far 5-2 PvT) and highly figured-out Aztec (28-13 PvT, which is 68.3%) it's a question whether Fantasy can survive first two games without being 0-2'ed. Since Pathfinder and Icarus are way better for Terran overall, Oov's apprentice might turn the series around exactly as he did three years before, but the last game is on Gladiator again... Wait, what am I even talking about? Fantasy? Dude is on five-game losing streak against Stork; last time he won against SBG was during Bacchus 2009 OSL. This tournament gives no proof that he is still as good as he used to be in this matchup: it took nine ugly TvZs that let him to this point. Okay, he beat Free during group stage, but recent losses to Movie, Violet, Tyson and Jaehoon aren't anything to be impressed about. Aside from Stats, Jung Laden did not face any decent Protoss opponent since summer's STX Masters, but even though his TvP is a little bit of a mystery ATM (preparation!), I wouldn't bet a penny on him. Why should I? On Terran whose play hurt my eyes in Ro4? ![]() Stork in Ro4. ![]() Fantasy in Ro4. Even if you are utterly excited, this final is a quest for Silver Mouse for two players who used to be victims at this stage. Judging all factors, I think everything is now within Stork's hands. If he plays his normal level of PvT, it's gonna be 3-0, no question here. If he gets nervous... Well, a combination of this, Fantasy's hypothetical excellence and Power Outage Vulture terror might bring us close finals. But, for the reasons I mentioned three and two paragraphs above, I call 3-0 sweep for Song Byong-Goo, maybe 3-1 if Fantasy finds smart cheese or sort of timing attack. Odds are like 80-20 for Protoss anyway, even if Fanta read old interviews and started to practice with Much.

Small request to the streamers/live reporters: Since GSL finals is at some friggin early time tomorrow, me and some friends are gonna watch OSL finals live and then GSL VODs straight after. We, and I reckon many people with us, would really appreciate it if the stream/LR was GSL Spoiler-free. Small request, let's hope Sayle reads this ![]()

![]() To be honest, this final doesn't change anything at all... No matter what happens tomorrow, Song byeong gu will still be the most awesome guy ever! Showing so much friendliness to a total stranger who travelled 8000 miles, I will never forget! Because of the drama here on TL recently, please don't let hate lead the way, there is no place for stupid flamewars and false fanboyism - TL is no Jersey Shore! I cheer for ![]() ![]() Dear ![]() ![]() Greetings Daniel ![]() ![]()

Go Song Byeong Gu show us the godly PvT you are capable of. Also lol at reading Fantasy has prepared some revolutionary builds - now i gotta go with definite 3:0 ^^ He still dropped a game against HiyA, and he could have lost the last set at HiyA's first push, but his godly shuttle reaver micro miraculously allowed him to defend it. This will be very close. Also remember how everyone said that Fantasy didn't stand a chance against Flash at last MSL semis. It went to the 5th set and was one of the closest TvT series ever.
