Oh please. As much as I love Stork, I'm not going to make excuses for that loss to Zero.

Preparation hasn't stopped Flash, Nada and countless others who've made simultaneous SL semi/finals.

Map imbalance mean little considering Zero pulled a non-standard BO.

And to be honest, all these excuses just downplay all the wrong moves Stork made throughout that game, and all the right ones Zero did.

Had Zero played like Modesty today, I highly doubt he'd be sitting one up on Stork right now.

Nobody's denying that Zero played well. But Stork's overall feel for the game was obviously off. Stork doesn't play on the map in the PL, and he's only had to practice for two PvPs on this map for the MSL. So whatever he prepared for Zero would be the only time he practiced PvZ on this map. Quite simply, he did not look comfortable in that game.

As for two titles in the same season, it has happened twice. By the two players you mentioned. I really want to know the "countless others" you are referring to.

Stork is in a quarter- and semi-final situation, which many progamers have been in before. Of those, Flash and Nada went all the way and won both leagues outright. The countless others include everyone else who's ever simultaneously made it into the finals, semi-finals, or any combination thereof, regardless of result. They are proof that Stork was not in some Mission Impossible scenario, and had every chance to beat Zero last night.

No. You're saying it's easy for Stork to advance in both leagues, which would imply Finals for the OSL, and Semi-finals for the MSL. And given that protoss is much more map dependent than other races, they require the most practice in order to fully prepare for each maps.

Anyway, how many players in history have done this? And how many of them are protosses?

Well Bisu was in Gomtv MSL S3 Finals and Ever 07 OSL semis, so he made dual semis.
If you are not Bisu, chances are I hate you.

So it's confirmed that other than Bisu and Stork, no Protoss in the past few years has made it to dual semis.

I think I clarified in my last post, but just to be clear:

I mentioned Flash and Nada explicitly because they were the only two I know for a fact have succeeded in simultaneous SLs. Because they went all the way and won them both outright.

Stork should not be excused for his loss to Zero because many people have won simultaneous BOXs at the quarter- and semi-final level. He doesn't need to be Flash or Nada to do that.

Mention these ''many people'' please.

Here, I did some of his research for him (and I'll be posting more on this later, but for now the relevant information:

Six players have made double finals: NaDa, ChoJJa, Reach, sAviOr, Flash, and Jaedong.
Flash made double finals 3 times, NaDa 2.
Two of them have won both once: NaDa and Flash
Two of them have lost both: ChoJJa (both to NaDa) and Jaedong (both to Flash)
Reach and sAviOr both split, one win one loss.

Now, I realize we're talking about Ro8 here in the MSL still, but the point is: the people who make the dual finals are the absolute best in the game. We've got 3 bonjwas, 1 god, and 2 players who made multiple other starleague finals. Stork may or may not be in quite that company.

Stork fiiighting. God. It;s always good to see fantasy lose. It'll be especially sweet to deny Fantasy an OSL again.

Stork is totally in that company... except with his luck/finals play he'll end up with dual silvers.

The point is no protoss win dual finals. Protoss isn't good enough, Terran and Zerg always possible in this era no matter who is he. Some T and Z will be there.

Stork probably could be if he wasn't offracing, playing WoW, watching One Piece and playing cell phone games while Flash/Jaedong/Bisu is practicing.

Stork has been playing absolutely amazing lately, If he wins it all he would totally eclipse Bisu's career achievements and replace him as the number 1 toss player of all time. He is performing on S class level in all match ups, even in PvZ, I'm not for a minute going to suggest he has a better PvZ than Bisu, but its as good as...

Yes if Stork win both OSL and MSL he will replace Bisu as the best Toss of all time and the most successful Toss of all time, the only title that will be left for Bisu is the "sexiest Toss of all time".

The point has never been about Tosses winning dual finals.

The point is what justification, if any, did Stork have for losing to Zero on MSL?

I mean the fanboys can make all the excuses they want, but Stork admitted himself, according to the interview, that he prepared a lot for that match. And he lost.

I think that's about as simple as it gets.

Dude. It's really a little possible that ZerO is good at ZvP. It's his best matchup. I'm not trying to excuse Stork's loss (or his play), I'm just puzzled by people reacting as though Stork had an autowin there.

Epic finals incoming.

How the F did Kal lose to Modesty? Modesty's games today were all over the place. He killed one (1) of Stork's nexuses and that was in the final game. Kal vs Stork semi finals would have been better
