Then again, we get a PvZ involving Stork, which ranges somewhere between disheartening and impressive. I'll be okay. As long as Stork builds more than ONE FUCKING CANNON at his natural (KAS2, anyone?) I think a Modesty vs fantasy series wouldn't be half bad, I just don't want it as a starleague final. Let's go, Stork vs [someone, but hopefully Calm]! | ||

Although he does it very well, Fantasy is a very funny guy who plays weird builds that often counter standard play. (watch G1,G2 of Batoo OSL finals). However, his builds usually have a weakness (2 hatch aggression in Batoo) which is not very standard. Calm won't stand up to fantasy playing standard, but if he can adapt, he will definitely win. | ||

Also Kal vs Modesty first game seemed... very strange. Now i'm certain Kal was at an advantage and got to 4bases equal at one point (one less gas however i believe), yet he only ever went up to 150 supply. I was watching supply counters and it was really strange why he couldn't seem to get an invincible deathball together with the eco he had. Modesty i think also has poor macro which isn't going to bode well against Stork. | ||

Modesty played good but he just ride the advantage he made in the early stages and made some small micro misteps but that wasnt enough for him to lose. | ||

Engagements occured at modesty's base, hence defender's advantage in terms of reinforcements. 2. Kal never pulled back and macroed up to the invincible protoss ball army combo, which means engagements do not end as one-sided as it could be. The lower the food count, the more advantage zerg has. That's why protoss usually don't move out until they have the big ball. 3. Modesty when really really fast hive(probably why his army was so small) and hive-tech zerg's much more cost-effective than lair-tech zerg 4. Kal killed drones, but did not take out bases. 5. Modesty killed a lot of obs, which meant his lurkers probably did a lot damage that's really hard to see in the thick of things 6. Kal did not deny Modesty expansions, nor did he take more bases himself when zerg was spending all his energy defending. So basically, IMO Kal lost on his decision-making, something that I believe Stork would likely not do. In the late game, Stork would probably destroy modesty. That said, I think Stork's much more prone to losing to cheeses like in the 3rd game. So I don't know what to make of the series. Now all he needs is to do is some sort of facepalm against a terran(hoping Stork v Fantasy) and the tri-fecta would be complete. | ||
