I actually voted oz, and when I saw the ace match in the lineups, I was sure jd had won... :'(
Man, I hope he gets better. I beehive him because he's not the type of person to lie or make excuses about losing, and when jd loses to a player like hydra in a straight-up zvz, you know something is up.
What's his twitter name? Just lee jaedong?

Jaedong my boy Don't lose your heart, keep fighting. You will emerge victorious eventually.
|
After Princess' epic comeback game, I thought OZ had this in the bag. A loss is always bitter, but man, JD, don't feel so depressed, you have plenty of games to come when you will be victorious. No need to bring yourself down.

No pain no gain Jaedong! You'll overcome this and come back with your work and talent ^_^

a well, even JD can´t win every single zvz... his overall stats this season are still better than anybody elses on his team, so if the rest gets in the habit of winning more and beeing less dependend on JD, they´ll do great when JD recovers..

But god, 9 pool speed should become a troll build for ICCup games or bo3/bo5 cheese, like BBS center rush or something like this. Not the part of standard ZvZ anymore. I'm disappointed with how behind it puts a 9pooler. 12 pool<12 hatch is not even nearly that big of a gap. =/
a well, even JD can´t win every single zvz... his overall stats this season are still better than anybody elses on his team, so if the rest gets in the habit of winning more and beeing less dependend on JD, they´ll do great when JD recovers.. the most important thing is that he'd lost 2 ZvZ aces. Why in the world not go the standard opening that fits anything and that isn't that behind for ANYTHING, as 9 pool is vs certain build like 12 pool? Why not just 12 pool, given the fact that you are Jaedong! And you can outclass your opponent, having even a small gap of being behind! But not when you are 1 hatch vs 2! You know even when you're Jaedong you can't make ur lings and mutas do 2 x normal damage!
Why in the world not freaking 12 pool... =/
edit: I even created a topic in Strategy to discuss this. That really gets me. 9 pool seems useless against anything except 12 hatch, and even there you can defend. =/
another edit: if that was a mind trick, then I must claim that JD definitely "mind tricks himself" always since NATE MSL epic 2 game with guardians, to the double defiler mound and double 4 pool. His troll strategies may not work or work from time to time, but why in the world would you troll the lower class player who you can beat straight up??? Why cheese him? I insist that 9 pool is cheese =/ If the damage is avoided (which given modern zerg's micro is very likely) it's TOO uphill.

It's okay Jaedong, you're still the most awesomest Zerg in the world.
You know, I bet this is all Jaedong's master plan into making other teams keep throwing Zerg players at him. They'll be all like, "Hey! Remember that one time Jaedong lost to a Zerg player? Maybe it'll happen again!" and then Jaedong will proceed to face stomp them.
In a slightly seriouser note I remember a while back I tried to perfect a +1 melee with early evo chamber. You go evo chamber instead of lair by pulling one of the gas drones right after 100 gas (for ling speed). Once the chamber finishes you should have about 100 gas again for +1 melee. It was kind of all-inish (you could still defend against mutas by building spores) but it gives you a short window where you could do a lot of damage. You need crazy good ling micro and I've always wanted to see someone like Jaedong pull it off.
I think I remember someone on this site who played around with this with moderate success...

Princess now officially counting as Hwaseung's #2 Zerg. Seriously. While Killer is full of failures, this guy's play seems surprisingly mature, even if sometimes he makes mistakes. But I think he has strong psychology - not every Zerg would have at least gotten back in a game where protoss had like 5 bases to his 4 and killed like 30 drones with storm.

He's what Oz needs - a RELIABLE player. Even if he is mediocre. Reliability is something that we expect only from JD. And now he's not alone ( :D )

On the other hand, 9 pool is the safest BO, right? Against cheese, I mean.
Back when JvZ exist, 9 pool speed was his bread and butter. He destroyed overpooling and 12-pooling zergs with it.
Then he started to go more econ and lose more, and people were screaming for him to revert to his 9pool speed.

WOW. Hydra won twice! And that's awesome for hite to send him out for the ace match. Great series

well, I think sooner or later that would have happened, you just cant win so many times in ZvZ, same was with Flash, when he was put on ace several times and remember what was his ace record? So, its ok JD, its just that Oz needed this win so badly, that he got so stressed out. poor JD
