Ugly games. Wish the metagame was balanced enough so both sides would come into the game without having to rely on the extreme.

In theory, with his build scouted by that sneaky probe, Jaedong wouldn't commit because he knew Stork knew what was up. It's like that one game where Kal scouted the hydra bust, assumed his opponent would try to transition out of it after getting scouted, but still lost. I really really hate that protoss style of play because with good scouting info you're ALREADY ahead, that's how the ForgeFE is designed, but Protosses seem so uncomfortable with PvZ that they do everything they can and, well, shit like this is why the last year of ZvP has been half hydra busts. Jaedong just has to send 1 ling at the southern part (gateway side) of the wall to know if it's 1 or 2 cannons. I think the problem with PvZ is that Protoss players in general have to be exceptionally good during the early stages of the game. Even knowing a hydra bust is coming most of them do ridiculous things like continue to pump mass sairs and the Zerg player just runs him over. It's why Bisu, Movie and Free(his old self) were so good - they just quickly adapted and tried to punish Zergs through multitasking/harassment or timing attacks.

Then it just kept slipping away. I was in shock I was fist pumping after the first wave, thought Stork had it and from there... I can't recover. Wanted Stork to win so much.

I swear these days there's even more posters whining about whining than there are people actually whining.

All I know is, this series was a GREAT microcosm of Stork as a player and Stork's career.

I know every LR thread ends with page after page of fanboy hatred, and that's ok. I'm sure I've been there before, but please, just think of the entertainment factor before you say it was a bullshit series. You can hate the outcome but don't hate on that kind of play. All you do nowadays is play a super-greedy turtle style that randomly loses to timing pushes, or you win with zergling all-ins. Granted, you had one good game against Flash (FS) and one decent game against Stork (EOTS) but all other games in recent history have been horrible. What happened to the JD of the past that crushed everything with impeccable defense and macro? At least Stork tried to be creative this series, but he ultimately lost to the ZvP imbalance (one mistake and you're screwed) and his own stupidity. he's always played like that (greedy as possible, defending with minimal units) also, none of those games were true all-ins. game1- stork did a greedy build, jd did the 1 of 2 builds that punishes it (4pool/9pool) gg game2- stork did a clever build which fooled jd. all jd needed was 1more sunken. oh wait (one mistake and you're screwed) game3- jd got greedy and didn't make a sunken. if he just had 1 sunk he woulda defended that ezpz. had very nice scourging but just didnt have the units to win game4 - stork went for a goonreaver timing, jd stomped it game5 - stork had a great start, going 1cannon-nex-gate-tech against 9pool, but got greedy not putting that 2nd cannon down which jd saw. jd just shook his head -nono- and popped lings everywhere and killed stork. i dont see much difference. stork was just as greedy as jaedong in the games just that stork succeeded in being greedy to an extent, while jd died whenever he was greedy. The difference is that JD stood to gain a lot from being greedy and continuing to hatch and power drone, but Stork didn't stand to gain much of anything by saving 150 mins and then defend by pulling half the probes in his nat to hold off (even if he could have held off the lings indefinitely with 0 losses).
