Set 1 Game 1: Winner outplays the loser completely. 1 sided domination. Recommended and you'll understand if you watch. Set 2 Game 2: Best out of the ZvZs with winner coming back from a bad looking position
Anyone thats wondering why the second semi final is @ 16:30 it is because Jaedong is @ MSL semi finals during 13:00 and they want a time gap in between, as the finals will also have this same time gap between the match and the 3rd place match. Yeah bad scheduling or they've run out of time to have to reschedule everything...
eh, I'm actually think JD might lose. I can't imagine him practicing his ZvZ all that much even if he did play Action in the OSL and Efforts out of both leagues. Will be interesting
Umm what? How can Jaedong possibly be playing.. So he has wcg at 12:30(probably later than that, Flash will be playing Kal first right?) then MSL at 13:00?? So he only have 30 minute to beat Effort? I'm Confuse

I meant that Jaedong was playing the 2nd semi final. Or you didnt catch the part where I pointed out they started @ 2 different times ><.
Oooo I get it now.. Thanks for clearing it up.. I was quite confuse.. Thanks! Edit: Yeah.. I didn't catch the part where you mention they were playing at 2 different times.
Yeah, i dont think JD has practiced too much ZvZ for today, so i dont mind if he lose, is ok, cause then he will probably face Kal, and we all know how a JDvsKal ends.
I'm interested to see Flash play a TvP on Grand Line. I'm pretty sure he hasn't played a single TvP on it yet (including the original version of the map).
Imo will go something like Flash 2-1 Kal (he's not practicing vP, but Flash has so much talent he'll take this anyway I think) Jaedong 1-2 Effort (lol I'm biased)
honestly, I would like Jaedong I had to fight hard to reach that final something like 2-1, but history, maps, record is not advantage for EffOrt. If one starts to think Jaedong has always won most times in a ZvZ.

God, Flash fans can be obnoxious.
Did he says Flash is underworked? Did he say Jaedong is more overworked than Flash? No. There's such a thing as more than one player being overworked.
Besides, proleague ended a while ago. Since then, they've both had equally packed schedules.
Technically, Flash had the STX Masters a couple days ago too. That's in addition to the Proleague finals, which wasn't that long ago. But yeah, both JD and Flash are in great form and are playing a lot of matches.
I find it very obnoxious of you to claim that Flash fans in general are obnoxious when you only had one case in point.

I didn't say they're obnoxious in general, just that they can be obnoxious. Ofcourse, that's true of all fans so I guess it's a moot point?
I'd be surprised if JD even practiced ZvZ for these WCG games; MSL is so much bigger and he probably wants an MSL title even more to match NaDa as the most accomplished progamer.
why do people think jaedong is so favored when effort has all the time in the world and claimed he'll do everything he can to take the wcg while jaedong claiming 3rd place is enough (kal is not much of a threat...not cause its kal but more because its protoss that does not include stork) cant rem the last time jaedong lost to protoss in a bo free maybe on osl ?
Yeah, I think Effort is going to win this one. His ZvZ is excellent and given that he's probably had much more practice than JD, so he should be the favorite theoretically. But with JvZ, you never know.

Not too surprising to be honest. In the last 10 days Flash has had to play 4 BoX's, all of them TvT. I just hope that his basics are good enough to win the next two games.

Anyone is good enough to represent Korea, they'll win all their games. If Kal wins, then he's proven his worth in my eyes, and that's all there is to it.
Well I've never seen a 1 stargate carrier build off 3 bases before. Flash probably didn't notice that small decrease in ground forces to think about carriers so he never scanned.
that shuttle play was just amazing.. he dealt with the tank manipulation at the nat cliff just right, always had a shuttle with zealots, no careless losses to mines, picked to do just 1 stargate so he could keep his significant land force and make flash continue with zero goliaths.. amazingly well played. i cant believe it.. because flash is flash and kal is kal

Hmmm since quite a few people want the first game recommended, what shall I put for it... cause I missed it so I have no clue what happened... but from what I read it was a quick carrier switch that caught Flash off guard? Please help me out on this... ><

that was some intense worker micro probe almost snipes the SCV but then the probe would have died to the marine both walk away to tell grand tales to their coworkers who will inevitably die this game (or at least the probes will ^^)

shiit Kal going 2 base Carrier if Flash doesn't scout this ASAP... he's in some for some deep shiit cmon Flash where are your maphax scans when you need them
Kal doing quite well against Flash's vultures. Also going two base carrier. Doubt Flash will expect them this early, but he'll still have scanned it, I think.
This is pretty much the way Sea played against Bisu. I think Kal would be wise to mass expand and transition to arbiters or corsairs/d-web. Protoss can't break the third, fourth, or natural here, and it's suicide to even consider without critical mass carriers or recalls.
Kal, BTW, is doing exactly that. Playing much smarter than Bisu did.
Really smart play by both players frankly. I think if Kal and not Bisu had played Sea in the MSL, he would've won on this map. Flash though... he's pretty good.
Flash is like the only player who can actually see DTs when cloaked I've never seen anyone scan so freaking fast after just 1 swipe, wherever it is... or even before the swipes lol
around 3 minutes before the ending flash couldve a moved his 150 supply into kal's main, got out of his booth, go down and sit with the audience and watch kal try to do something.

He was for a while. He was down a base and about 20-30 supply. That push into the middle evened things out (before Kal lost his inner 9). But I still wouldn't call this a comeback.

I suppose technically his opening put him behind, Kal's 12 nex was up before he started his first expo. It never felt like he was really behind though.

Flash made a uncontested 4th base before Kal even started his mineral only. Kal was only ahead 15 supply max which didn't matter.
My conclusion from watching this game; Flash has really good manners. How does he manage to refrain from writing bad mannered shit when his opponent uses that GG timing?
I never understand why protosses don't get templar in PvT. They already have the gas, 70% of the time they already have the research from getting arbiter tech. But instead of storming they repeatedly ram their mineral army against terran over and over until they're mined out, THEN they get archons and templar when they have no army to back it up.

That would actually beat Hiya's ceremony! :p
Yeah but flash never does anything interesting :/ + Show Spoiler +
I feel so bad for Jaedong. He has to play effort (guy with sick zvz) then light (guy with sick tvz) just a few hours later. I guess all the years from carrying OZ has hardened him to handle it.

Uf, I was quite afraid after the first game, but I guess it was just fluke. Flash prevailed when it mattered after all.
Second game was just lol, back to the roots haha.
Third game was typical Flash domination, I guess he was honest when he recommended Kal to not go carriers lol.
All in all, Kal, what the hell were you doing with all the time for practice you had? The best that you could come with were cheesy quick nexuses and two base carriers? Flash had less than a day to prepare and he still won handily.
I predict that Flash loses a game to a foreigner in LA. A Protoss. Who does something so ridiculously stupid, nonsensical and unexpected that it ends up working.

I doubt it. He'll just play super safe and scout early and often. The only way he could lose if he didn't take his opponent seriously, which I doubt will happen. He just wants this gold too much.

It's easy to be a Flash fan now, but not before this season. Plenty of disappointments, which makes his god streak this season so nice

But that was a truly rough time. Add to it BBS by Let and Kwanro's 2 hatch lurkers all-in, coupled with inexplicably losing to Best on Tears of the Moon and finally abused by Yarnc super fast 2-hatch muta build...
Flash fans suffered a lot before this season. Our beloved guy was bashed on all fronts, laughed at, and people were claiming that Fantasy, Leta, Skyhigh are better than him...
However, it makes it so much sweeter to be his fan after the Dark Ages

I remember him loosing Ace match to estro, MSL BO3 to Leta and OSL Ro16 game to Best in 3 days, so he was kicked out from both starleagues and tripped his team.
If you look @ the times on the site is say 17:00 (of course in KST) but I don't think Jaedong is there, it probably got delayed to 17:30 or even later but as I'm not in Korea / can't read hangul, I have no idea of the situation.
EDIT: NEVER MIND JAEDONG IS IN DA HOUSE THIS IS STARTING
Jaedong won Zerglings in every encounter. He started with a build order advantage, and kept building on it, to the point that he could overrun Effort's natural and defend Effort's entire Zergling force at the same time.
This a slow thread most likely because it's so late (or early) for most TL members, but I just want to make sure jaedong wins, so I can actually go to sleep
can someone explain me what Effort was doing in the last 3 minutes of this game? Trying to prove how fast you can throw away a lead if you try really hard?
I like how Kal and Effort get to battle for third place entirely because they were the last to have to play Flash and Jaedong. (a bit belittling to who they beat on the way but still, it's true)
Game 1 was horrible, game 2 was still a BO advantage for JD, but he also clearly outplayed EffOrt there, so yeah, watchable.
Too bad that the finals is so damn worthless, players always mention this in their interviews. That they have an extra date for this amazes me. I remember Stork proxygating JD while JD was 5pooling two years ago in the finals, and Stork didn't care a tiny bit, 5 minutes later they were watching the 3rd place match together, Fun times.
yeah, JD himself said he doesnt care about WCG he just want to go to LA,he has a secure spot now, he will probably relax. i only hope grand line gives an epic game, first time they gonna meet in that huge map.
You know that neither player is gonna wanna give up any strats right? Like not even a hint of how they are gonna play in the MSL Final, which is as they say, for all the marbles.

i would not be surprised in the least if Flash & JD make it to GSL finals after picking up a copy of SC2 tomorrow (or at least when they're a little less busy). after lol'ing at how easy macro is, their natural gamesense + mechanics would easily help them roll any "good" player, and their ability to learn and adapt should probably get them to the top level in a few weeks.
Hopefully Kal wins since if Effort goes its going to be a bit lonely for him in the US after all that shit talking he did with Flash. Flash/JD hanging out together and poor Effort all alone somewhere touching himself.
