what's even more amazing is that he's taken a game off jaehoon, granted terrible, but still mbc's protoss ace.

I think it's more this time, that he is more relaxed, and there is pretty much nothing on line this time considering he isnt even a BW gamer anymore. With nothing to worry about he can play without any pressure, in comparison to Jaehoon and Gorush who have all their pride and job on the line here.

Idra is probably more relaxed... less pressure on a player often results in better performances.

Man, idra smashing players whose names I actually know Just think how awesome he'd be if he had kept practicing BW.

I totally feel like SC2 made me better at SC1 when I came back to it, and this might just prove it's true! Haha.

It would make me really happy to see that Idra lackadaisically BBS'd/2-fac'd his way into the OSLs.
It would make me so happy I would paypal him money for beer/ramen.

It would make a lot of sense to cheese. He's probably not super well known over there but they probably know he plays standard. With less practice time he can abuse his reputation and have his limited practice not be a big disadvantage by cheesing.

He practiced BW for a looooong time and the only korean progamer he ever managed to beat in a bo3 was tossgirl. It's looking more likely that either the time off has helped him, he's saying "fuck it" and cheesing every game, or he's performing better because he has nothing really on the line and he's relaxed.

Maybe IdrA was relaxed at first, but I bet after going to 3rd game in his second match he's sweating real hard
