And so we arrive at the beginning of Week 2 for Round 4 of the 2009-10 Shinhan Proleague. While this new format is still undoubtedly screwing with our minds, it's certainly given us some entertainment in the past week. But for this week, what will happen? Are we going to be seeing four terrans again (inspired by this thread) for WeMade, as we did in WeMade's first week victory over KT RolsterFlash? How will eSTRO fare, after losing two of their starters,  SangHo and  UpMaGiC, due to alleged cheatingkeep yo conspiracy thoughts to yoself~

Really has secured his half of the expoes, both are fighting for 12:00 expansion. Looks like Mind is preparing for battlecruisers at the top left.
Looks like Mind has the last expansion pretty secure now and has landed his command center there.
Mind's just mining the gas there at the moment, since Really's tanks are positioned there.
Mind with a couple battlecruisers now.
Some drops from Really, manages to take a battlecruiser and some units out but probably ineffective overall.

Hindsight is a very important thing. Initially, the mech switch tactic caught many zergs off guard and found that they wouldn't transition out of ultraling because they invested too much into it. Of course now, guys like Zero, who also previously lost an ace match against it, obviously show that they know how to deal with it.
Its the same with the Fantasy build. Initially it was a crazy effective build that zergs had trouble dealing with. Now, most zergs can pretty much tear through this build and punish you for choosing it.

As I understand it, it has something to do with the maximum number of sprites possible in sc? I think with valks, because they fire 6 separate missiles, that counts as 6 sprites. So when you go valks, you hit the sprite cap much quicker and that causes things to not fire. I think that's the gist of it.

Valk's missile trails puts strain on the engine. Basically if there are too many units, valkyrie don't shoot due to the engine's limitation when it comes to generating sprites.
Baby had like 60 wraith shooting missiles (60x2) against 8 battle cruisers. That's a greater than 200/200 army fighting in limited pixels. Really had about 6-8 valkyrie. Each of them fire 6 missiles each. If the engine can't handle it, Valkyrie don't fire.
