I think the main problem was that MVP let Kal get that group of goons on his left flank and didn't properly mine the counterattack avenue, which stalled his push and screwed him since he didn't have a third up.

I didnt see MVP's plan that game, normally if you slow push, you are supposed to take the base on the way, he should have just secured the backstabbing path and taken the third. He was at the lead at one point

Zero also had to prepare for OSL last night. He's not gonna be sent out since I'm assuming Woongjin had a plan for when MVP inevitably failed. Someone else prepared for Kal, and it's not gonna be Zero.
