I think eSTRO will take this but I'm not sure which of them will win. Really is an obvious favorite and I could see any of the other 3 winning. Ace match is unclear but Effort would be the favorite there naturally. So, let's say 3-1 eSTRO.
What I'd really like to see is Hyvaa winning in ace, but I'm starting to lose hope about him ever being in good shape again.
CJ's got this in the bag, I don't think eSTRO has anyone who can beat Effort in a potential ace match...and CJ almost definitely isn't getting 3-0 or 3-1'd.
Action is such a pudgy little Korean, eSTRO should cut off his practice-time cheetos if they want him to become a clutch player. Can't be fat-fingering your hotkeys at a crucial time.
Looking like a 3-1 CJ win (Not that I dislike CJ, I just like eSTRO a lot more) Really is the Only one on eSTRO who is the favorite in his match. Action has a chance of beating sKyHigh (because he is so inconsistent) and Up has a chance of beating Movie (his PvT is his worst matchup). I feel so bad for GosI[Flying], having to go up against so many top level players, who knows though he could pull out a win. CJ has an advantage if it gets to ACE because Really is a big underdog against EffOrt in a TvZ.
Don't count out Flying. The guy has some ridiculously sick PvZ. I wouldn't give Action much of a chance against Skyhigh, but UpMagic sure has what it takes to take down Movie, who has relatively weak PvT.
Really is 9-1 in his last 10 games against Protoss, Nbs doesn't even have 10 games against Terran on the other hand. Not to mention that he's 3-6. Easy money. However, the good news for eSTRO end here, as CJ is fielding EffOrt-sKyHigh-Movie - a pretty reliable trio and with the exception of something going wrong and Movie dropping his set to UpMaGiC, they should win with relative ease.

GosI[Flying] < EffOrt - Gosl has only played 3 PvZs this year, and his 2 wins were from GoRush and great. EffOrt lost his last 2 ZvPs to decent protosses.
Action < sKyHigh - sKyHigh is inconsistant in his TvZ, but Action hasn't beaten any Terran that is decent this year. (Except for maybe FBH?)
UpMaGiC < Movie - Both playing their worst MUs. But I think Movie can pull out on top.

I think it's more a question of whether GosI[Flying] plays like Free. EffOrt lost that game because of the placement of two dark templars, and was pretty impressive in making a game of it. But that's the second game he's lost to sair/dt (JangBi in ace) and so he's going to have to improve his ZvP against that singular strategy.
This is the same EffOrt who was 75% in ZvP until the other day.

I still love Effort and think he's a great player. Just that when he beat stork and got to 75% I was ecstatic. Just a bit sad that it dropped down to 71%.
CJ needs more Savior usage and not always against S and upper A class players. Effort is doing fine. If he loses to Flying, it might be a sign of the Apocalypse.
Core spinning for range. Bunker is up at the natural for Really. One goon coming out for Nbs, who I have to say isn't the most handsome progamer out there.
Really's push positioning was so sexy. I think that expanding towards the Terran is problematic in most situations, particularly on tornado. Nbs would have benefited from taking an additional main at the opposite corner from his opponent instead of shrinking the push distance.

Yes he would have, but that's because Nbs is hilariously bad. There's a reason why he's solely a 2v2 player that's like 22 years old and only has like 15 televised games.

Nope. I didn't miss it, but Flying has displayed some really nice play this game. I'm not trying to say that his game is perfect (Effort's nearly is though), but he isn't playing like a chump.
I know new HBR is harder for Zerg in many ways... Taking the 4th vP seems much simpler. Not just in this game, but generally. It used to be hard in so many ways.
EffOrt is slipping. I know Flying is kickass and I don't have any unjustified faith in EffOrt, but after his seriously godly early game this is just disappointing.

Flying's poor econ is now only hurting him... The arb trick was good, but he doesn't have the econ to back it up. He's on 1 base mining for god's sake..

Gos still a rookie, his macro isn't up to par with Effort's. He could of simply attacked Effort's units head on when he had his 3rd and 4th base running, that would of kept Effort busy, and his expansion would of been safe.

If Flying had better multi-task, he could've easily taken the game. You can see a lot of slip-ups on little things that just shows he's a rookie. Unfortunate, hope to see more of these games though, nice idea.

I feel so bad Flying lost that game, but I'm so proud for him doing such a pimp moves and giving us such a great game! Also the commentators seemed a little quiet today. When I saw the arbiter I was in wow, waiting for commentators to scream something, but this didn't happen. Usually I love Korean commentators but not today:-(

Action takes out the mnm heading to his third but loses a muta and a couple of lings. Skyhigh already has another group of mnm out trying to take control of the middle but Action bypasses it and kills off mnm at skyhigh's nat with lings and mutas.
Action gets a pretty good position against skyhigh because skyhigh split his army up. Lurkers manage to get in between them and took them out with mutas.
Action rushes in and cuts Skyhigh's M&M army in half! Skyhigh's surround fails, lurker shots and marine blood everywhere as Action cleans up Skyhigh's army.
Ho-Ly Balls. Action's muta micro is like he's concentrating on it constantly. It also seems like his other play ain't being sacrificed. I havn't been so impressed with mutas since Zero in part 1 of the PL season ZvZs.
EDIT: Someone controlled this game from start to finish based entirely on the most skilled microing. His name didn't start with 'Sky'.
Guardians take out a tank and lurkerling takes out the other 2. Action loses a defiler carelessly but the guardians are still wreaking havoc on Skyhigh's nat. Lurkers are preventing the mnm out in the middle from coming back.
One wraith finally out but the guardians have done huge damage already. Lurkers are on the ramp now but bad decision making let Skyhigh kill them all before doing much damage. Skyhigh has control of his nat again and he's moving out with his mnm ball.
Skyhigh's FPVOD has no red at Action's third but he definitely knows already. Skyhigh's at 101 supply. Swarm keeps skyhigh away from Action's third. Skyhigh has ~8 firebats at his nat.
skyhigh gg's... thought Action would throw that one away but he dug it out like a golfer who hits the first shot 300 yards and then lands in the sand bunker.
SkyHigh was really bad this game Not irradiating defilers, a bunch of m&m roaming the map aimlessly - not doing any damage instead of going into Action's exp etc.

This has been a supremely good series so far. I have enjoyed all of the games, and we have seen some honestly interesting play during them. With proleague sponging up so much of my time I really dig the matches with innovative and exciting play like we have seen this evening.

Movie keeps switching between rax, 2 depots and the bunker to shoot with his goons so the scv's have to keep moving around. Tank is out though with siege. Ebay going up for Up.
This was written having watched only the openings. I slow down as the builds go on and I couldn't find the words beyond the point of decisive builds in this game.
I think that this is a very good decision. You make the good and unconventional choice once and it's impossible for them to prepare for it a second time. I'm big loving eStro this series. The creative and exciting play is the play that drags me in. If I didn't love STX like I do, my favorite team would shift so swiftly...
Looks like Movie is going 2base arbs. His stargate is going up even before his observatory is. A shuttle sneaks into Up's main and 2 dt come out but there's a missile turret in place already with scan too. Movie lifts them back up and retreats.
Up is taking a third but a DT snipes off the SCV. Vultures + mines come to defend it though. Movie is trying to use mine drags with the dt's against the vultures but fails.
Up sieges up movie's nat with a bunch of tanks and an ebay for vision. Vultures run through into the main but there are goons coming out of the gateways to handle them. All the tanks are sniped off by a shuttle of zealots and goons coming down the ramp.
Movie got his third up but vultures are there laying mines. Mines kill off 2 goons and upmagic tries to run more vultures into Movie's main but there's a pylon wall + goons at the nat and mines kill off most of the vultures. First arbiter is out too.
Upmagic tries to harass Movie's nat with just one tank. Vultures try to sneak into the third to harass but goons+arb is there to defend. Upmagic is trying to control the lowground behind movie's nat and he's doing so successfully with gols + tank reinforcements.
Movie tries to go for another recall but a clutch emp that barely hit gets it. Gols+turrets take out the arbiters. Movie is attempting to move out now.
Zealots are up's fourth take out a few scv's before getting killed by gols and tanks. Upmagic is slowly pushing towards movie's fourth. HUGE BATTLE ENSUES WITH 3 STASIS CATCHING ONLY 5TANKS AND A VESSEL.
uPMAGIC IS IGNORING HIS FOURTH AND GOING FOR MOVIE'S FOURTH INSTEAD. SIEGE TANKS ARE KILLING OFF TONS OF PROBES AND MINES ARE PREVENTING MOVIE'S REINFORCEMENTS FROM GETTING TO THE TANKS BUT STORMS ARE GOING OFF ON ALL OF THE TANKS. OMG NICE FLANK BY MOVIE
It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to not get hit by a ton of Stasis and Storm in late game

Nice stasis catches 4 tanks a gol and 2 vultures. Another one gets 2 tanks and a vulture. The stasis'd units are creating an ice funnel for movie to storm.
Up's reinforcements manage to take out the rest of movie's army. They're mining off the same number of bases now. Movie is rebuilding his fourth and upmagic already has his up.
Vultures are slowly killing the warping in nexus... AGAIN D: Movie doesn't look like he has enough units to break this siege line this time. GG imo unless some miracle happens.
Lol, a zealot triggers a random mine and it hits a huge part of movie's army. Arbiter goes to 5 trying to recall but it's well defended so the arbiter doesn't get a chance. It gets cornered and stasises a vessel. Gols take it out though.
Movie is finally trying to take 11 with nothing mining except his nat.. barely. Up is finally moving out. Huge mine drag kills off a lot of zealots but there's just too much units in up's army.
lol arb runs around looking for good spot for a while then decides to stasis a vessel. Movie suiciding all his troops into death ball since he has no arbs left
Upmagic prevails, Movie runs out of resources and facing a vulture snipe of all his probes at 11 he gg's. Amazingly entertaining series! eSTRO v CJ needs more Artosis and idra though.
Game 4 had absolutely nothing on Game 2. Some of the sickest PvZ I've ever seen, straight up style points from Flying. I was a fan of his before, but now I just worship him. Had he kept the macro up and secured a few bases, he could have easily won the game there in the end.
Those recalls had a lot of flash, but they didn't do nearly enough damage to compensate for losing all of those expensive templar tech units and goons. It was a complete waste. As a result, Gosi was always on the defense and never even mustered up any kind of push. I think he was have actually had a real chance had he attempted to push into Effort, instead of trapping himself in a defensive position.

This wasn't really the game of the week, not even of the match. Gosi showed us all the reasons why arbiters aren't used in PvZ. I say all this because I'm mad at the OP, misleading me into thinking that set 2 was some fantastic game, with lots of templar magic, not a 1 sided game with 2 inefficient recalls and one feedback that I just watched on wfbrood. I'm not ragging on Gosi, I mean he was playing Effort. He gets point for trying to change things up. But seriously, games are not good just because someone uses an unconventional strategy. You do know that if he'd taken out slightly more tech and defended his third gas, the game would have been different? Had he brought his sairs with him to kill off OLs, his arbiters could have made more of a difference.

A game does not necessarily need to be mechanically perfect and full of future-foreseeing decision making level to be a good game. This game made the crowd awe and was very entertaining for anyone who watched it.
Put it this way, Arrigo Sacchi + Catenaccio doesn't always > Jogo bonito.

Wow, the second game was simply astounding. Put simply, if Effort keeps playing like he did during the first half of the game... there can be no doubt he is the best ZvPer the world has ever seen. On the other hand, if Flying keeps playing the way he did during this game... we might well have another Protoss Revolutionist on our hands.
Either way - between this and the other recent changes to the ZvP metagame - these are exiting times. Exiting times, indeed!

both jangbi and free played standardly. Their excellent preperation is simply because effort is good [and in jangbis case, it was an ace match]. Thats standard preperation for any good zerg, its not exceptional based off a fear that effort is unbeatable or something. Don't inflate effort with this crap, plz.

This. Effort was showing great promise a few months ago, but it's shown that he's definitely mortal. He's not anywhere near invincible, on any matchup.
I wouldn't short change Estro. People should realize that with the exception of Airforce ACE, any team can beat any other team. and quite honestly, Estro is a pretty solid team.

True. Effort's shown some flashes of greatness along with some horrible play. One day he can play near perfect, while the next day, he can lose badly and let Free get a 59 kill archon. If he ever develops some sort of consistency, I can see him going far.
