You can't defend faraway expansions as terran. You have to expand in the direction of your push. mobile armies like protoss and zerg have a bit more freedom with expansion in that sense. | ||

Terran can't really be spread out like that, Guemchi would just recall in his base or one of his other expos and then proceed to rape the expo in question. | ||

When he finally started trying to take out his expos there it was too late. -His recall defenses (mines etc.) at his last few mining bases weren't 100% perfect, which is pretty inexcusable. However, that game was mostly won by Guemchi's play. His two attacks, the ones in the middle and very end of the game w/stasis and storm, were just amazing. | ||

I think GuemChi deserves a lot of credit for keeping bogus at the top. Bogus could have done a better job but GuemChi had complete control. | ||

I think it was a good move by Guemchi to defend 1:00 even at the cost of troops and keep trying to retake it. The announcers suggested he just throw it away many times, but I think Guemchi knew that giving Terran 1:00 turns the map into a one half vs one half fight, which was not good for toss. | ||
