JD got eliminated before semis(which gives you a shot at the 3rd/4th place match) in the RO8 by birdtoss himself. The only time Korea had 1,2,3 was in 2006. There were a few other WCG that they might have taken 1,2,3 if the hadn't bumped into each other before the semis.
