yeah I can swing by and pick u up on my way there. You can just bring ur laptop. They will want you to log onto whatever pc u set up at but after that u can just set up the laptop and its fine.

I'm not terribly good with technical terms, but would I unplug the network cable from their tower and plug it into my laptop? Or do I brave the wild unknown of wireless?... I guess they can tell me that when I get there. I'll just bring my laptop and hope I can do it. If not then whatever. If not then 5pool.

No, I definitely tried ethernet a bunch. It wasn't working and in the end they insisted that I use wireless.

Sucks to hear about the LAN center. And guys, it's unfortunate and all but there's still going to be a LAN so there's no point in cancelling everything - you should stop slamming on Xeris too, it takes quite a lot of work to organize a LAN. He's run a lot of LANs so when he says a LAN center bummed out you can be pretty sure there was nothing he could do about it.

oh yeah I did see the LAN was still going on I guess my post was pretty ambiguous ;p I meant that some people were angry that the plans were being changed but I think if the LAN is still going on there's no point in cancelling everything, it's still going down
