Hi guys, im new to the 'multiplayer' aspect of Starcraft and its expan, so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on TvT play. I play against computers and a few times against online opponents but lost most of them. I have a record of 9-1-27 and i was hoping to turn that around with some advice, i asked online and got this site, wonder if yall could help a brother out.

What specifically are you after? Basic introduction to the game? Basic build orders? How/where to watch progames/vods? What race do you play? Have you tried iccup?

All of you guys know that there is a "op-teamliquid" channel? Let's all meet there!

Edit: Fuck, why are there so few Commas in the English language. I like german better, where there are over 9000 Commas in one sentence.

Haha, nice bump! Made me pm someone about helping him in BW without realising the date.
I guess, for that short sentence, its better bump....
Yeah, easiest way to meet people is going to op Teamliquid.
You mean ESPORTS isnt a synonym for SC2? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -Proud owner of a Filco Majestouch 2 with Cherry Blue Switches- BW or SC2? Why not both?

Well to watch progames you want the Small Vod Thread : http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=50875

Have you looked at Liquipedia? Here is the Protoss section: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Protoss_Strategy
There's a lot of information about build orders etc. on there so take a good look ^^

Also go to op teamliquid on iccup and you should find someone who will play some practice games with you or you can try #teamliquidbw on IRC (quakenet). Other than that search around the forum, especially the BW General section as there are a lot of threads from new players asking advice.

Try playing on USEast instead of iCCup if you're new. The skill level is considerably lower, it's pretty chill, and there are lots more team games. Also, if you just hop in some clan, you can get instant practice partners/coaches!

If you do decide to play on east, for the love of SCIENCE get Bwdetector (Anti-hack). Google it.

I am not exaggerating in the least when I say 75% of bnet kids hack. Seriously, probably even higher. It's pretty much safe to assume hack when you join pub games.

Even then, you'll still face kids who only maphack, which is 100% undetectable. Oh the joy of bnet.

There's a new hack going around where a ghost can launch a nuke and hit anywhere on the map. I saw some scrubs on iCCup doing this, where they both play Terran, turtle like mad (4 bunkers all behind a wall of supply depots with tanks and turrets everywhere) and then they just tech to nuke. Then they launch one with a ghost from inside their main, and they can target an opponent's main or something.

Come on 75%? I haven't been on b.net for a while but it can't be that bad. And people who are that paranoid about map hack usually just aren't very good and blame all their losses that way, no offense.

Lol, and I thought only my clan mate was hacked by this recently. Was really funny and infuriating to see that kind of hack. Luckily, that player has been banned. He manage to get to C rank by doing this.
Is maphack really undetectable? I thought iCCup antihack blocks it?
