How do they draw the line for this in terms of being too good to play? Some of these guys have played plenty of pro games.

you are able to play in minor league as long as you've played less than 5 proleague matches
that's what idra says anyway. I don't think the old 2v2s counted toward this

It's probably 6 proleague games this season, not overall.

SKTelecom also has a pretty big issue with playing old gamers in these Minor Leagues. I remember a couple seasons ago they were trotting out Kingdom, Shudder, Mujuk, and Rainbow versus Minor Leaguers. I don't know if they don't believe in developing new players.

Hm. I wonder what is the exact criteria for being able to play in Minor Leagues. It's not less than 6 Proleague games, since Midas is on here. It's not being on B-team, since Horang2 is listed.

All of SPARYZ's young 'toss players are on their minor league roster, so they will probably be trading off playing ProLeague/Minor League, or at least that would be my best guess. For the sake of my fantasy team I hope they keep playing him in PL.

That's kinda imba imo. It should be only people who have never played in more than 5 proleague games, though that would severely reduce the amount of players who could participate. Still, Midas? Unfair, even if he's in a slump.
Edit: I also realised after re-reading the thread that this is probably very embarrassing for Midas. Poor guy. What a monster he was in his prime.

There is no set format obviously. The imperative is getting as many games played as possible so as to best evaluate talent.

CJ is a big team. His odds of getting sent out for them isn't as big as it would have been for eStro. But if he does well in practice he may get a chance. I imagine because of the nature of the league coaches will sent out players that benefit from these matches more than players who will rake in the wins. So every decent B-teamer may get a chance once a season.

Nice to see By.Snow is winning some games. I rememeber watching some of his replays and his reaver micro was and I suppose still is very good. But that was about it, he'd always get raped after his opponent deflected his reavers.

Well the lineups are usually posted on Fomos by Wednesday afternoon, then the results are posted on Thursday. It doesn't really matter at this point - either they don't have games scheduled this week, or we'll be getting the results from Fomos in a couple of hours.

Man, it wasn't clear going into the start of the Minor League, but Devil is without a doubt the 13th man on CJ's roster just waiting to get an opportunity in ProLeague. He's 12-1 so far and he's been far and away the most used player.

Hopefully not, because teams are too chicken to try it and we'll just continue to have ZvZ after ZvZ. If anything remarkable was being discovered in these ML games, then coaches would have already picked up on it and started putting in Protoss players on the map, but as of right now they have only fielded one Protoss in a total of 47 games (played and upcoming). OFF WITH IT'S HEAD!

Yeah the coach expected a terran or protoss as Idra's opponent because they had never sent a zerg out.
Btw the ML results should be added to TLPD, it would make map statistics clearer.

really wish they kept Battle Royal, non zerg races are starting to win more on BR, seems like things were starting to balance out..
s2 wins 3 zvz's, probably we'll see him more in SKT proleague lineups

I don't see anyone out of the minor league players making any sort of a splash. Killer and Devil, both really good Minor league players rarely pretty bad against some mediocre players.

He's still a really good minor league player (best record overall i think).

I'm sure some of the players who are performing well here will end up being very good A-team progamers someday. If you look at the minor league results that are in TLPD from ~a year and a half ago, a lot of players that had good records (fantasy, Effort, Really, Hyvaa, Leta) have become quite good and pretty much none of the players that performed poorly have done anything.
Not that it's necessarily an accurate indicator because there were also players like Piano, Darling, and Dove who put up good results in that league but have done very little. But still..I'm sure we'll find some of these names much more recognizable a year from now.
Also I just wanted to point out that Devil was 2-3 in that minor league so he's obviously improved a ton.

Yeah, I know, I've seen the minor league records from last year. Maybe I wasn't clear enough, I was just saying that right now, none of the names have really stood out yet.

Ahh I misunderstood then. But that's not really surprising I think, most of them are probably still having trouble adjusting to playing televised matches.
