PianO, when no one expected, suddenly got an All-Kill… On the 24th, during the Woongjin vs. KTF game, He successfully defeated Firefist, Flash, Dream.T)Sair, and Luxury
Thoughts after your first All Kill? -I originally thought I could only get a 2K, so I only prepared the maps for the first two games [laugh] During team practice and ranking games, in the last two games, I’d always use a defensive management strategy. Because my opponents would often do a semi-all-in attack in the early mid-game, it gives me a bigger advantage in the late-game, and allowed me to achieve victory.
On Medusa, you used Vultures and Wraiths combined with an economic macro-based strategy. -I had wanted to use this strategy on Medusa for a long time, so before today’s games, I asked the coach to let me play. I have a lot of unused strategies that I’m going to start using often in future games.
Did you prepare for a TvT on Sin Chupung-Ryeong? -I practiced the most on Medusa…about 50 games…Only about 5 games on Chupung-Ryeong, MVP helped me practice.
What did you think when you learned your next opponent would be Flash? -In mirror matchups, early-game rock-paper-scissors strategies are very important…I practice with Flash a lot, so I wanted to get an early advantage, so I decided with a safer management strategy. Flash didn’t expect my Wraiths, a bit careless by him…
It was obvious you were in a good mindset for game 4 and game 5. -For the last two games, the mechanics became very natural and smooth…the format helps with warming-up. And plus, now, I’m more used to these live games, and I also knew that there were really strong players left on my team, so I wasn’t nervous about losing going into the games.
In game 5, you displayed strong mechanics and game sense. -To be honest, ever since I started, I was most confident in my TvZ. The coaches believed in me, but I ended up losing a lot of live games…Before, I wasn’t able to fully realize the potential I have in practice…good thing I was able to display my skill against Zerg today, I’m very happy about that.
Your team has been criticized for having weak Terrans. -I don’t usually accept interviews, but every time I get interviewed, I get asked this. Personally, I disagree, but I don’t understand why we lose so often in live games. The team is also trying hard to find the source of the problem…even though we’re not there yet, honestly, the team has many very strong Terran players, I believe the issue will eventually become non-existant.
What kind of mindset will you use for future games? -Our team isn’t one who’ll use a single player constantly because he’s performing well…the most important factor is performance during practices. We have a system to deal with this, so without hard work in practice, you won’t get played. I’ll continue to try harder from now on.
You were very happy after getting the All Kill. -Yes, happy. Very very very happy…But I was happier back when I won against Oz’s 2v2 team with Dragoon hyung [laugh]
Last thoughts? -I won’t become arrogant after this All-Kill, and I will continue to try harder to play better games. I like fun, exciting games, so my goal is to continuing preparing in order to exhibit high-leveled games…that’s my style…I will continue with this style, and aim for more victories!

Hi there crappy terran #4214 who managed to all kill and take out several S-class players in the process.
Thanks a lot for the translation by the way. There is a lack of them lately. ;_;

Great interview. PianO seems like a nice kid.
|
Have to agree. I kinda like PianO.
|

this
he's not arrogant he knows that he has room to improve so by god let the kid kick some ass
kudos for taking down lux and flash and i'm keeping an eye on you young piano ;D dont break my heart

Not being gay or something, but hes a handsome one. Im sure he has gotten more fangirls.
|
Haha i totally missed this. But i think beating flash on a map you practised a bit. and beating lux on a map you did not even expect is quite hard.
And i like he is not like Idra.

yeah, piano is good looking and from his interview seems mature.

I'm really excited to see how the Stars Terrans will do, especially PianO because he has the same surname as Boxer (and his old-school reps are awesome). They've certainly been improving a lot, it's easy to see that. I believe what he says when the team has a lot of skilled Terrans, but it just looks like they choke on live games (prime example of this is MVP vs Savior).
Thanks a lot for the translation.

Anyone think he looks like a Lomo/Iris hybrid? He kind of looks like one to me. His name is kind of lame though. There are so many progamers who use random words, and piano is pretty bad word to choose for an ID.

I like his name. What's wrong with Piano?
And the ID he uses for games is organ[3.33], just FYI.
|
He's like TheZerg from MBC (now on SKT) and Doctor K on SKT. They used to play 2v2s but now have some spotlight due to their 1v1 performances. Thx for the translation.
|
heres hoping we see some nice play out of this kid, their are worse ways to get into the limelight than destroying Flash and Luxury.
|
when i think of piano... i think of anytime humuliating him in proleague... ill link the vod later.
edit part 1:

PianO is awesome.
Hopefully he continues the good results.

having spoiler wrote in title for an interview with a relatively unknown player is kind of a spoiler in itself

Thanks for the translation!

Well, it's also been like 3 days, so I assumed that most people browsing this section would've heard the news already :S

He uses both aliases according to TLPD.

Nah, I actually am friends with him and every single time he is on Dream.T)Sair. By.Sair is currently used by his friend.

Huh. I was a bit surprised to hear he practice alot with Flash. Anyway, good going by Piano, always good to see some no-names improving their game, especially if they are this good mannered.

Anyway, PianO used to be the biggest TvP turtle in the world before turning pro lol
|
I didn't see the game but from reading the interview he seems to be a good kid and he beat both luxury and Flash so this guy has got something in him.
|
Piano plays my kind of instrument =D

Whew okay that was a close one. In other news, I sincerely hope we see more from this guy

Could Woongjin become a proleague force? Piano, Zero, and GuemChi? And GGplay and Free if they ever get their act together. People have gotten together good proleague teams with less assets than that.
His "unused strategies" kind of intrigue me. I hope they're crazy.
Nice translation!

I love GGPlay and all, but I have to say that I think his time has passed. He was never a truly S-class gamer, and though his style did get him on OSL win, I don't think he has what it takes to perform at a top level.
GGPlay isn't exactly a young gamer either you have to realize. His time has come and gone.

His surname is the same as Boxer's, so they have to be crazy
I'm excited to see what PianO will do. I hate to call an allkill against KTFlash a fluke, but we still need to see how consistent he is. Stars, compared to last season (where they relied on free), surely have a lot more depth now, provided these newer players can keep up.
|
Nice interview. It was really unexpected that PianO won.
|
Piano is one of those terrans I used to watch replays of ages ago, and I really liked him. It's nice to see him doing well. The only other terran I can remember watching a lot was n.ace)yakult and I don't think he ever ended up doing anything.

Thanks for the translation, much appreciated!

nobody who hasnt seen those games is gonna have any idea what the interview is for, and it says 'spoiler', so they click at their own risk
but yeah usually we keep player names out of the interview just state what the match was

Now that i think about it, i saw a rep of this guy and i wasnt that surprised, maybe it was an old rep.
