of course d+ after 1 year gaming isn't very good, but if honesty also means being a dick, then maybe it's not worth it. i call it the idra phenomenon.

props to koll, but honestly he plays a ridiculous amount.. the equivalent of someone who's played 3-4 years

oh wow, I JUST figured out whats going on here. Hahaha, this is absolutely priceless.

I played for a very long time, and could beat people who i hanged out with, but once i faced a good player i got torn right through. It took me 6 months from a pretty decent level to a really good level(playing and studying starcraft every day all day), and longer to get really really good where i could raise the ranks with little resistance. It takes A LOT to be really good at this game. I sometimes forget the range of skill that can exist. Do you feel like you're improving? If not, focusing more on strategy and what is effective under the different circumstances is better than just hammering out games expecting to learn from them. It helps a lot if you have a good example to follow over a long period of time.

I think before we even talk about reading whole books, we should make sure that BabyRhino has read the first page of this thread...
EDIT: Also, I just noticed. GLADWELL, not "Caldwell", hahaha.

do they provide portable toilets at WCG?
I saw someone's signature once, it was "If they are worse than me they are a noob, if they are better they have no life"

haha my thoughts exactly

I played ums, fastest and made maps from 1998-2007, after that I started playing 2x2 for about a year and finally in 2008 I really started trying to be good at 1x1. I am now C+/B- rank with about 200-240 apm. Just keep playing and your skills/apm will rise.

it's bizarre that people are actually still replying to the op
|
surely, the fact that this guy essentially came above all other foreigners in WCG shows that to compare the OP with his learning curve is unreasonable, and perhaps should be criticised.

Do you need to use a toilet every 4 hours? Dont want to sound like Koll, but doesnt it mean that you have some health issues? o_o

How's my thread still alive? lol

I think everyone is different imo, some people can get good really fast or some people can take longer to get good

this doesnt mean anything.
