Keep these kinds of comments to yourself, imho: "I'd be surprised if he beat me" is just a very bad way of saying it. At least word things better, like when he was talking about G5. He didn't necessarily say he'd lose to G5, but said he was a threat. Give other players the respect they deserve.
you took it too seriously.

I'm not the only one, yo. Just trying to explain the viewpoint that some people can't seem to get through their minds.

He was NOT the best US foreigner before he left, by far he was not. We will have to see how much he improved, but if he loses to other foreigners (Castro in Spirit) he should not be making absurd, ridiculous claims.
He DOES have the right that he should be proud and confident. But he should not be disregarding any opponents like he did. He is a good player. In fact, a great player. And, although I personally don't think him the best foreigner, he is a good representative with his determination. But it's unacceptable to talk like he did; even if it IS true, it's rude and disgusting. I wish Idra luck, and hope he is successful in his path, but he's got to get rid of this horrible aspect of him.
And for your own sake, I'd think it best for you not to call people retarded when you haven't even been provoked. Completely unnecessary.
Good thing I didn't say he was the best foreigner, nor did I say he was the best in the US. OH NO SOMEONE MADE A JOKE ABOUT NATIONALITY, THAT BASTARD. Do you seriously think he thinks all germans and swedes are worthless? it's a fucking joke, just because it's not 100% politically correct doesn't make him some sort of cocky arrogant scumbag who wants to slaughter and maim all germans and/or swedes.
He is quite easily the favourite - which is what he said - ask anyone and most people will say they're expecting idra to win it. He has such a ridiculous advantage over everyone else it'd be pretty fucked up if he didn't win it. At the end of the day, he is on CJ entus, while everyone else is playing on iccup out of their homes, and he has done nothing but play SC for the past 5 months or however long while everyone else still has to lead a normal life (education, job, etc.) It'd be pretty fucked up if he DIDN'T think he was going to win and I guarantee you anyone who was in the same position as him would have the same thoughts, just because he's actually honest about his feelings (something that's actually important if you want to have any sort of insight into how he feels and seeing as how he's our pioneer foreigner into the korean scene at the moment it's kind of important)
If you think some little jokes that aren't 100% PC are super offensive and make you a rude arrogant jerk you should go back to being a soccer mom

It's almost like he was asking him questions to stir up drama on the forums, and he....did.
Shocking!
I can't even imagine how mentally draining 12 hours of sc a day, every day, must be.
I couldn't handle it. Goodluck white boy.

qft 8)
and the people going psycho about IdrA's comments, however stupid those comments may have been, probably shouldn't take the guy so seriously. Not because I'm an IdrA fan, but because rabid nationalism makes you look stupid. So the guy doesn't think your country is better than some other country? Who gives a crap, seriously, it's not like he's personally insulting you.

Maybe we're too used to the generic Korean progamer interviews where they're all humble and give cookie-cutter answers to questions.

Imagine how much it would suck if the interview sounded like that.

For the people who said Idra's decision to go to korea was stupid, remember that he got accepted to his university (don't remember which) and made sure he could come back to it after his progaming experience before hand, so even if he completely fails in korea, he still has his whole life ahead of him with a good university, with an experience only a few people in the world can boast having. He also gets paid there, along with having food/shelter/clothing etc, it's not like he's at all in a bad position lol.
I think it was fairly obvious given his previous Courage tournament it was only a matter of time until he obtained the progamer license, so I don't think it's a big deal that Estro gave it to him, it helps things go a little more smoothly here I think.
Draco said in an interview he was going 50-50 with people in OGN Sparkyz before he left, but just didn't want to put himself under the stress of the language and cultural barrier / teammates' bad manner anymore. It's on TL somewhere, I won't look for it.
The move to CJ is really cool, I hope Idra does well. The CJ coach said he's below even CJ's B team players, while Idra said he was in the middle of Estro players skill-wise, so it looks like he definitely has a lot to gain here.
Not everyone is Mondragon, expecting Idra to say anything but what he believes is silly. I thought he was a little disrespectful about the top players of the mentioned nations, I'd say Poland certainly has more than just Draco for example, but I don't think it's a big deal really, anyone who is offended and can't just say "lol what an ass" has too high a temper. I'd be surprised if Idra doesn't completely destroy wcg, I think TSL was a fluke. His only potential problem is underestimating his opponents, but hopefully that won't be a issue.
Good luck! Idra fighting!~

Why anyone here would give Idra anything but support is beyond me. Oh he is a bit BM in his interviews? So what? Do you yourself feel he's reaching ou to you and slapping you in the face? The guy's young, and as far as younger people go their personality is still being set, a bit of BM spices things up while he's busy maturing his mindset.
Sorry but if we had a foreigner over there who was hugging his teddy bear while saying how thankful he is to everyone for helping him and oh dear god how grateful he is for this oppertunity I'd be bored fuckless.
Yeah he's a bit stale in his "yank" quality of dry witless sarcasm, but even americans have time to develop that annoying trait into something either funny or dare I say witty. Go Idra.
