I'm bored so I thought I'd start working on this tonight. I'll be importing photos in about an hour or so (once I finish work and figure out which batch they're in on my laptop) so please be patient.

General Guidelines:

~ You never have to pay for live SC events. Not even finals. There is no ticket process and you do not have to make reservations.

~ Getting seats: If you want to be near the front you need to arrive at least 1-2 hours early to beat the fanclub rush. Fanclubs are often highly organized and bigger matches (aka popular teams such as SKT1 or KTF) will attract alot of fans.

~ What you can get at matches: Both locations offer blank Kespa paper for writing signs on and blow up balloons for the teams playing that day.

LOOX is also home to the MBC Hero Centre's shop where you can buy the following:

~ Blizzard merchandise.
~ MBC Heroes caps, keychains, phonestraps, badges.
(T-shirts are coming soon apparently.)

--------------

Directions:

To the OGN Stadium:

Go to Yongsan subway station ------> the esports stadium is on the 9th floor of the Yongsan I-Mall 'Living and Digital' building which is right next to the station. Go past the large display of cars towards the outdoor corridor of shops and cross over into the Living and Digital building. Then just take the elevator or escalators up to the 9th floor.

To the MBC Game Hero Centre:

Get off at Murae subway station - exit the station via the 'Homeplus Mart' exit - after coming up the stairs turn left then right - walking down to the exit of Homeplus Mart's parking lot - keep walking straight until you see a large building 'LOOX' mall with an MBC Hero Centre sign on the side. Go up to the 3rd floor using the lift and you're there.

---------

Photo Guide: Coming Soon.

----------

Extra Tips:

~ Wait until 30-40 minutes after the matches have finished. After having interviews and photos taken the winning team will come out for a fan meeting.

My best advice for this situation is to keep an eye on the winning team's fans and see where they go - some teams have fan meetings in other places (outside at Yongsan and KTF often has theirs in a courtyard downstairs at LOOX.)

~ Do not try to approach the losing team. They usually leave very quickly and often do not stop for autographs. If they have been stopped by other fans then it is possible to quickly give gifts, but it is considered rude to ask for photos/sigs from losing players most of the time.

~ You can eat and drink in both venues during SC. Feel free to take snacks or buy them from nearby stores.

~ Do not shout/get up and walk around during matches. It's generally not done except during the break or at the beginning when fans do a shout out of support to the players who are playing currently. As for walking around - you are on camera sometimes so they ask you not to leave your seat during matches.

~ Do not approach players during the televised matches. The time for signatures and photos is fan meetings - you will get told off.

~ Make signs - as foreigners you're almost 100% guaranteed to be filmed - especially if you take a sign (I speak from experience.)

--------

I hope this is helpful for people wanting to visit live events here in Korea - please come along - it's definitely worth it!

I cant definitely do that - I didn't take any photos of it the week I went to the Classic, but I can do a guide on one of my weekends once I move to Seoul next month

Sorry about the slowness with that index - my assistant recently lost a relative so she's not been around much. I'm sure we can get some more done soon though.

I don't think it's really used much seen as it's so small - but it's also the only one which is really easy to get lost finding seen as it's tucked away in Mokdong next to a huge highschool. Therefore I think it will be useful for people needing to find it in the future So ty.

I have no idea, but you only need a ticket for the finals - which they hand out at the events themselves. The only time I had to do something special was the proleague finals in 2007 - you got VIP tickets at the front by getting a progaming credit card with Shinhan, but I hadn't brought my passport with me so I couldn't get one - luckily the Shinhan guys were lovely and gave me a VIP ticket along with a CJ team diary

They're all corporate sponsored - plus there's merch sales - I don't know exactly - I just know you don't have to buy tickets for anything.

If you are white, you'll stick out!

The teams are sponsored by corporations, such as SKT (Largest mobile carrier in Korea) with the exception of ACE, sponsored by AirForce.

no, it's not near the airport. i just said 'where the airport is' so you know which city i mean.

it's actually at 인천 삼산월드체육관 Incheon SamSan World Gymnasium

go here for directions (use IE, it's half broken with FF and doesn't show the other links)
