If you need the credit card you purchased the ticket with to physically get the ticket, how did the winners of the ticket competitions for last Blizzcon get their tickets?

Are you so shallow that you would sit there and mock kids that don't want to miss school to go to Blizzcon? Superiorwolf is what, like 15-16 probably and Asian... you aren't asian Chill so you don't really understand their culture all to well, but if he's got traditional asian parents, missing a day of school, especially for a video game convention is a BIG no-no. I can also guarantee they will not be pleased AT ALL about him traveling with some random guys he vaguely knows through the internet, if he doesn't go with his brother. Blizzcon is going to be lots of fun, and I would advise anybody who is willing and able to go, to make the journey and attend, but if its too much hassle, and school is a priority for you and you don't want to miss it... then no big deal. Although in defense of the people advocating "fuck school, come to Blizzcon" I'll say this: Superiorwolf is probably in high school, I can almost guarantee there is no such thing as "missing 1 day of school = lower your GPA" ... any school I can think of (my HS for example, which was a really high ranked public school in LA) allows multiple absences before it affects you; mine allowed 6, and on the 7th you get an F in the class. Since you don't miss school ever, I can guarantee that 1 day will not affect your grades or anything, it's just about getting parental approval. Anyways, Chill you are really just sounding like one of those jocks in hs who would make fun of the nerds for playing magic the gathering, or actually studying for their classes... except in this case you are equally as nerdy... let's not forget that (anybody who would travel some kind of distance to watch people play video games and oogle over Koreans who are famous for sitting in a room in front of a compute 13 hours a day is a fucking nerd - myself included) Just lighten up. It's an assumption. I'm looking at someone's values and saying we aren't compatible. I don't know how saying we wouldn't get along is offensive. You don't have to be friends with everyone! Yes I'm that shallow, that should be pretty evident at this point. Yes, that's my point. There is no rule if you miss one day of school your GPA drops. I'm calling him out on his bullshit. I don't know what you're getting at Xeris or why you're taking offense to this. I want him to come, that's why I'm fighting for him to come. How is that coming across at jockish? I'm not making fun of him for coming, I'm trying to convince him to come, while you guys seem to be fighting tooth and nail for him not to come. I don't get it. Okay, seriously, I reread it and your analogy makes no sense. You're saying I shouldn't tease someone for doing something because I'm doing it too. So what am I making fun of SuperiorWolf that I am also doing? Going to Blizzcon? Staying in school? Being asian? I'm pretty lightened.

And they'll probably change their mind later, like Superiorwolf did. (Or maybe he always wanted to go, but knew his parents would probably prohibit it, and so he got misunderstood.) I don't see what problem you'd have with someone just because their conscience is well-developed. Why do you think I have a problem with him? I'm fighting for him to come. Why are you fighting for him not to come? He's a big boy Bill, he can tell me if he thinks I'm an idiot and he can't come. Maybe someone pushing him a little is what he needed to consider challenging his parents? Either way it's not like I'm harassing him. We talked via PM, he gave the definitive "I'm not coming" and I say okay. Now he's not even involved and you're taking offense. He didn't take offense, why are you?

We talked via PM and he said he'd try to persuade his parents to let him go and his brother to buy the tickets. So much for "the definitive 'I'm not coming' "? I took offense because the behaviour you guys displayed sickens me.
