When u proxy ur always in a rush and generally not caring where u plant your gateways as long as theyre done ASAP. I do agree that proxying a forge is retarded though cause it serves the same purpose in base and you wont lose it after your proxy is over. | ||

If you take a closer look you'll see that it's not even proxied. it's at the choke similar to what they'd do in FE | ||

You know where you want to put the gateway, you know how long it takes to get a probe there and to mine 150 minerals. You send the probe out at the right time and make the gate in the right place on 150 minerals. Just because you're proxying doesn't mean you're rushed. You can still prepare and be optimal. | ||
