u can talk him up all you want, but the list of people who he is on par with or worse than is significant. if you want to win you need to be the top shit, or get lucky. and you cant rely on luck.

Terrans lately have been struggling with their own mediocrity and lack of personality - always hated for upset victories, never dominating. Always dangerous, never unstoppable. UpMagic has shown all the signs, but his star faded before even rising to the top. Maybe Flash could fill up the terran vaccum, but first, he has lots to prove.

Agreed terran players always get so close but not enough t.t Hwasin was close around the point where he all killed mbc in the stx cup thing.

Flash has just been awesome lately, I used to hate the guy for some of his cheese games.. but I saw him lately and was really impressed. He isnt the cheap player he used to be. About people calling him a cheesy little bitch, tell that to Boxer please.

He cheesed 2 games against the best player in the world by far and despite having played excellent starcraft since including going 3-0 in his GSI group and beating Jaedong 50% of the time w/o cheesing (well winning with a cheese). You guys sure know how to hold a grudge.

Maybe I'm biased

but I watched a few Flash games before he became KTF's hot shit, and he never struck me as a cheese player then. I thought he was another standard macro terran with solid-as-hell mechanics who just romped through offlines/prelims.

Once he got to StarLeague and everyone started watching.. well that's when he pulled two cheeses against Bisu. But why the hell shouldn't he do that? One was a revenge build for Terran pride [Hwasin lost vs Bisu the day before using the same build, or something] and the other was just really cute [come on, refinery to mine through mineral wall.. if that's not even vaguely Boxerish, what is?]

And then there was that time where everyone was like 'Flash sucks vs carrier' - but really, he doesn't. Without experience you're bound to lose a couple games early; if you see his games vs Free and vs Anytime recently, he's finally gotten over that kink.

Flash is definitely one of the top (if not the top) Terrans today. Strong in all three matchups, especially since he's gotten his TvZ bionic/TvP vs carrier control worked out. And his macro is just fucking beastly.

There really is only one player left against whom I'd count Flash as an underdog and that's Stork, who is now 6-1 against Flash. I'd say he has 50% or better vs anyone else, maybe a little less against Jaedong once he manages to counter Flash's mech build efficiently, which he will most probably be working on for most of the next days after losing to it twice.
