Protoss has a people problem, not a map problem.

Bisu doesnt have the hunger to win.
Snow and Best are choke artists that walk the kong line.
Mini plays like a B rank protoss with the mechanics of a pro gamer, I don't see that winning him more than the one championship he already has.
Rain would rather play League of Legends than grind enough Starcraft to win another championship.

Give tulgod a few more years and we might have some protoss hope again.

Why is it called "backrooms" when the tileset is space? Use the desert tileset to make it as close to the original backrooms as possible smfh

other than that map pool looks ok. odyssey with the fastest minerals could lead to some fun strats

Zergs design is just broken. The only toss that has a chance against a Zerg in a bo7 is mini. Toss needs serious continued help just gutting hydra rushes or making them costly somehow,

Bisu was 1 game away from taking out Soma in ASL 20. Both him and Snow defeated two Zergs in the Ro8, which were both bo7. Not to mention Best beating Queen in a Bo7 in ASL 19 Ro8 and him loosing to Soulkey in the finals by only 1 map difference.
If you think those are bad PvZ results, go watch some vods from 2005/2006 when PvZ was truly at its darkest place in BW history.

and every game the Terran went for quick tech while also taking the natural, which I found kind of surprising, since

- going tech is constrained by gas income, and gas income on this map is same as usual
- going for quick gas means you have to pull workers from the unsaturated mineral stack
- the income from the natural expansion is super inefficient, compared to the main - like 30-40% mining efficiency per worker or something? I'm not saying that one should never expand, but the return on investment is very different here, compared to a regular map. If one-base play was in any way viable on regular maps before, it should be buffed on Odyssey by a LOT


but on the other hand, Terrans can't make a comsat in their main... and therefore they can't deal with lurkers before vessel... so they're forced into fast vessel I guess

gonna take some time for people to figure out how to maximize the fastest map mineral stack for their builds... i imagine if brain or byul plays this map they'll show the proper way to abuse the fastest map mineral stack
