Much love to PirateZerg, MoustacheZerg and OzSucksBallswithoutMe who are also leaving the scene to do their service. Wait. You do realize that Flash is in TBLS, right? I'm guessing he meant SC2 results only. FlaSh did win an IEM, but JD had like 5 or so silvers including a Blizzcon one.

I was a fan of Savior, but both with JD are legendary champions. But even I liked Savior's style, JD stays for the best personality. I saw JD once in an offline tournament while he was playing SC2. It's pointless to talk about the pain of match-fixing with Savior. What's done it's done. Incredible career. JD is not just a zerg. He is Mr. Starcraft! He woudn't do it just to stay in the most well payed and biggest team houses in the past. But for the pleasure of videogames.

Hope to see you back JD, I was a fan of you in game and out of game!

I want to say thank you to Jaedong, for all the ups and downs that made him monster and human, for all the emotions and inspiration he brought to us.
For me, there is only one thing left to say for now: + Show Spoiler +

Best of luck JD, what a legend!

Saw this and had a huge nostalgia wave. Missing those BW days.

I will miss you Jaedong! Legend!!!

Jaedong, the guy whose games got me into competitive SC, and esports in general. My first and probably only e-sports idol. Thanks for all the awesomeness!

Thank you for this article. I started watching Brood War just as Jaedong was on his rise, and I watched all of it in awe. To this day I remember him splitting an entire control group of mutas in less than a tenth of a second when one got irradiated. I remember watching him send over two scourge to the other side of the map that reached a muta egg PRECISELY as it hatched. I remember his JvZ, his battles with Flash, the whole thing. I remember his death stare, his L-L-W-W-W epic comebacks, everything.
He will always be my favorite Starcraft player. Forever.

Serve well Jaedong! Been a pleasure following you all these years, thanks for all of the entertainment and for giving me a reason to be such a degenerate in middle/high school to stay up late and watch you!
|
Sad to see Jaedong leave BW, althought it has been in the air for quite some time.. I was really impressed by his recent end of the World series against Bisu. Great games overall.. Good Luck JD!

I will always remember power outage.

ByeBye Dong! See you soon!

I always wondered, but keep forgetting to ask (or maybe I did previously and never got a satisfactory answer)...
How did the rainbow sheep come about?

He made me hate Flash. What a string of heart brakes it was.

I remember me and my friends went to some little backwater tournament that had JD, Teaja, Pig Bunny and others in it, what a phenomenal honor to shake hands and speak to the Tyrant himself, as well as getting his autograph, one of my favorite memories! Life goes on JD and there is alot more to it then Stacraft, enjoy your service and then enjoy your life when you get out, we'll all be waiting for your stream :D
