Up until August of last year, my personal favorites of the six dragons was streaming broodwar. From what I hear, he was looking pretty decent. Then he stopped.
I had to do some digging, and some google translation to find out he had something wrong with his jaw and had to go to the hospital. It's pretty disturbing to not know what happened to him after that.
Does anyone know what happened? It would be nice to know at least that he recovered.

he stopped streaming because he found a job as a league coach is what i read somewhere :l
edit: ( must have mixed it up with another afreecan that left so obviously wasnt kal )

Where is Kal? Why did he stream for a couple of weeks, show some good games and good improvement, and then leave without even trying to qualify for season 3? I would be rooting for him in every game no matter how rusty he was. He streamed much more than a couple of weeks. I would say more like 4-5 months. He stopped streaming because he had some operation that went wrong and caused him considerable problems with his jaw. He could not talk properly or something? Its really a sad story. I dont know why we have not heard more about how he is doing.
Last thing I heard

On August 15, 2016, he says his health is not very good. He has been stuttering and spasming around his mouth. This is why he cant stream properly and do not want to meet people. (Social phobia, i mean.) Hero and Tyson sometimes mention him, they say he get another job. (Run a boardgame cafe? I dont know it is rumor or true)

He got a plastic surgery on his chin, but there had been side effects that makes his speech stutter and make his chin have muscle spasms. Hes been keeping it on the low after this incident. He might come back , he might not.
Best of wishes to Kal. and his never dying red health shuttle.

That's so sad

What was the reason for the surgery? Not to be down on him or bring up his insecurity (which is a very personal thing), but I always thought his jaw looked weird back in the Kespa days. I had a friend who had a similar issue with his jaw and he got a surgery because it was actually a small deformity or something like that.

Koreans perceive looks very highly (look at the number of plastic surgeries done in Korea) and Kal is no exception to being a victim.

Ah yes, the cultural factor. That is very sad indeed... well I for one don't value people just for their looks! We still love us some KaL.

That's so unfortunate that surgery didn't go well. Wish good luck to him.
