As much as I want JD to surpass Flash it's nice to see a "bromance" (all a dream in my head, haha) develop between the #1 and #2 brood war players of all time. | ||

Official words from Jaedong: "I am late to post my thoughts. I am truly thankful to the fans who came to support me today, as well as the fans who supported me all season long. I'd like to thank Mini and SnOw for helping me prepare for the semi-finals, and Sharp and Mong for helping me prepare for the finals as if it were their own matches. I also want to thank Flash for staying up until five in the morning, helping me prepare as well as giving advice. I'd like to ask people to wholeheartedly congratulate Last. ^^ I have no regrets knowing that I tried really hard for this finals. I'll take some time off for the upcoming ASL, and the next season of KSL, and come back smiling some time next week." Jaedong has reached the pinnacle of competitive Brood War through inhuman levels of dedication and discipline, at the cost of his personal health. He no longer has that trademark burning desire to prove himself, nor is his body capable of surviving the sort of practice regimen that allowed him to reach the top for years on end. Everything he does, he seems to be doing so almost soley for his legions of fans, and it does seem to cheapen his efforts to please his fans if some of his fans act immaturely to the one sided finals. The more people fixate on excuses for Jaedong's defeat, the more it cheapens Jaedong's efforts. The more people praise Last, Jaedong can walk away with some dignity intact as the oldest serving top player of major tournaments of the current era. | ||
