Ergo bad rep. That's only half the truth. Kwanro for example was terrible in macro games. Each time he tried to play a macro game against a semi decent player he looked absolutely terrible, hence the bad rep. For Shine it got worse over time. He was actually a pretty decent player. When he beat Bisu he was the worse player but won convincingly two times without a straight macro game. The butthurtness was a combination of the build (3 hatch hydra being very easy to play and very forgiving while immensly hard to deal with as a toss) and the fact that he straight out beat the favourite out of the tournament in a fassion that wasn't very enjoyable as a watcher. After the fact people kept talking about it and kept on hating but forgot other games Shine had played. I think he is more hated now than back then. | ||

Shine is in the middle of playing game after game on his stream right now. He went 2-0 against Snow, 1-0 against ggaemo, beat Rush in the first game they played, and is just generally laddering his ass off. When he was playing against Snow I had his stream open too, and Snow was taking it kind of seriously and focusing on the game. Meanwhile, Shine's kid is talking to him, yanking on his shirt and pointing at the screen, and Shine is laughing and having a good time. Then a fight starts and Shine goes "daddy's got to go to work" or whatever and JUST KILLS PEOPLE. Currently he's on a losing streak against Rush, but you can safely disregard that as Shine being "inconsistent" again. Edit: Holy balls that vs GuemChi game was good. Edit 2: He done. | ||

Most of the games he wins he just seems like a typical strong Zerg. He's got mechanics and fundamentals to back up his bag. I think he's keeping some stuff tucked away for next season. | ||
