No way Infernal was bad it's just that in this game if you are better than someone else you will win. People are now used to SC2 where all sorts of garbage gimmicky players can take games off world class champions, but that's just not the case in BW. Never forget Lilthrow 2015

Infernal got A- during the TSL2 ladder, and the foreign scene back then was highly competetive (think Idra, Ret, Nony). That game, though it doesn't show Infernal at his best (was probably nervous as hell), serves to illustrate just how big a difference it is between being really good at this game and being the best progamer in history. The skill gaps are so huge in BW. Just like Flash was toying with Infernal, Infernal would toy with a D level player (I know from first hand experience). Totally agree with you. The skill gaps are A LOT bigger than some ppl here think they are, games like Flash vs Infernal just show this. truth been told, the skill gap between top foreigners and top pro gamers can't be over estimated. It was like they weren't playing in the same league. Watch Barca play against some 4th division spanish club, that's a good comparison. Well Mondragon was force to be reckoned with even when facing progamers at his prime ehhhh, I don't really think so he could win games but would he ever have a shot at winning even a bo3 vs say, flash? naw. probably never. so it's not like the same as stephano in sc2 "Never" ? I would not be so sure, Mondragon was the god of foreign scene a good time before flash got into progaming.. SOOOO....!

Flash just has more raw talent, even as an amateur I doubt that Mondi would have stood a chance against him.

Hard to talk about raw talent, when other guy played for fun and flash did it full time

Flash holds the record for the youngest person to ever win a starleague. It can't be chalked up to simple experience. Lots of people were playing for much longer than Flash and couldn't accomplish half as much as he did in his first two years. He just has a gift for Starcraft.

I do know that, but you're forgetting how successfull mondi was as just an foreign amateur, no professional couching and training involved.
edit: point was that it's hard to compare the talent factors involved..

Will his VODs still be uploaded?

Maybe if we were talking about Stork vs Bisu that would be relevant, but we aren't. Flash has a deeper understanding of Starcraft than probably anyone. I never said that Mondi was bad, but Flash is the ultimate weapon for a reason. I mean unless we are talking about Flash a month into playing SC vs Mondi in his prime, but otherwise there is really no chance.

mondi would have maybe(!) had a chance in his prime vs some(!) protoss pro gamers, because his ZvP was almost semipro if not close to pro level..
vs a good terran.. vs flash.. maybe 1 game out of 100 in mondis favour..

Lol, Mondragon was regulary beaten by even foreigners and you want to compare him to best Koreans. After 2006 the best what foreigners could count on was some fluke Bo1 victory.

LOL. Do you actually have any glue how long flash played broodwar before getting into progaming?

In his latest stream he gets owned in a lot of games. He's lightning fast but I think in another month he'll be back in top form.
|
He's mostly losing due to greed. He's getting early/mid game disadvantages while trying to push for very fast 3rd or by some cheesy semi-all'ins (like ribo into 4 gate push from 2 base)
Funny enough he seems to be winning most of standard games he plays (without ultra greed mode)
