Basically saying Korean teams colluded in salary capping SC2 players at 70,000,000 won. Flash suspects he would have been an exception, tho, because KT Rolster take care of him differently.

Were they trying to save money to use for LoL players? So many questions... Like Flash said in his video, that was the reality of the e-Sports scene in Korea. The sponsors didn't invest heavily into the Starcraft 2 scene because the visibility and commercial viability was miniscule. Even so, Flash was exempt from the "salary cap" decision, not because of his Starcraft 2 performance, but because of his services to the brand that started off from his Brood War days. It's just the reality of the situation. Starcraft 2 was a complete failure in Korea in comparison to Brood War, and the global success (earlier on of course) and the pressure from Blizzard for Korea to adopt Starcraft 2 as an e-Sport led to an artificially created bubble that couldn't be sustained, because there were no viewership or support from the domestic fans if you take into account the size of the scene. It still has a niche following, but Flash's comparison of salaries between League of Legends players, and Starcraft 2 players is more based on a personal sentiment than anything else. Flash used to be one of the most popular, and the highest achieving e-Sports figures in Korea. Imagine how crushing it must be to have it all taken away from you, and despite that, trying hardest to make it again with another title, but see other people (who used to be kids worshipping you on television) go on to make careers on other e-Sports titles and gain more success, while all the players in your title are struggling with a game that flunked domestically, and is struggling internationally partly because of how well the Koreans are doing. It's a horrible situation to be in.

To me FlaSh has this aura of the "perfect son" finished school with good grades even tho he was in a progaming team, after school he went into berserk mode and won all major tournaments then gave the money to his parents, now he lives at home while making lots of money with streaming and helps his parents with the bills, they don't even have to stand slutty golddiger gf at their place, cause he is so shy. i kinda hate this kind of people.
