I mean, if I had large sums of money, I'd probably get someone else to take care of it too.

Otherwise I'd spend it all.

Does he legally own his money though? Because there have been quite a few cases with people getting completely shafted by their parents. Greed sometimes supersedes all.

Giving some of your money to your parents is part of Confucian culture, but you will be hard pressed to find many 24 year olds who give all of their money to their parents and recieve a minimal stipend in return. The situation is bizarre even for Korean culture.

Flash probably trusts his parents with the money and believes that they know best which is why he's letting them help him manage it. It makes perfect sense too. If they give him housing and other needed costs, he's less likely to binge. Might seem silly to some folks but if he has accumulated as much money as he has, there's always a chance that he'll spend more money than needed.

his streaming/recording program, afaik all bw afreeca users use it. not exactly sure how it works but you can separate/record games with it too, but dont know what the "up" button does. few years ago, larva was often leaving his stream online showing his recorded games.

audience members can "like (exact definition: recommend)" a bj once a day.
hes asking his audience to "like" him, as it puts him higher up on the rankings list for afreeca

effort is good! just beat flash with some really good play that kept flash running around all over the map. flash said afterwards: that was a headache.

the way effort uses drops is really what brought him back

edit:

really fun watching flash play zerg. his muta micro is solid

Damn, how'd we miss this bit from Nov 1?

Basically saying Korean teams colluded in salary capping SC2 players at 70,000,000 won. Flash suspects he would have been an exception, tho, because KT Rolster take care of him differently.

This at least partially explains why korean players in SC2 were so willing to switch to a foreign team. An example being Innovation switching to Acer in 2013 for a rumored $100,000 per year (roughly 118 million won).

Pretty interesting. Wonder what was the reason for them putting a cap in place? Did they anticipate the downfall of the team? Were they trying to save money to use for LoL players? So many questions...

Like Flash said in his video, that was the reality of the e-Sports scene in Korea. The sponsors didn't invest heavily into the Starcraft 2 scene because the visibility and commercial viability was miniscule. Even so, Flash was exempt from the "salary cap" decision, not because of his Starcraft 2 performance, but because of his services to the brand that started off from his Brood War days.

It's just the reality of the situation. Starcraft 2 was a complete failure in Korea in comparison to Brood War, and the global success (earlier on of course) and the pressure from Blizzard for Korea to adopt Starcraft 2 as an e-Sport led to an artificially created bubble that couldn't be sustained, because there were no viewership or support from the domestic fans if you take into account the size of the scene. It still has a niche following, but Flash's comparison of salaries between League of Legends players, and Starcraft 2 players is more based on a personal sentiment than anything else.

Flash used to be one of the most popular, and the highest achieving e-Sports figures in Korea. Imagine how crushing it must be to have it all taken away from you, and despite that, trying hardest to make it again with another title, but see other people (who used to be kids worshipping you on television) go on to make careers on other e-Sports titles and gain more success, while all the players in your title are struggling with a game that flunked domestically, and is struggling internationally partly because of how well the Koreans are doing. It's a horrible situation to be in.

To me FlaSh has this aura of the "perfect son" finished school with good grades even tho he was in a progaming team, after school he went into berserk mode and won all major tournaments then gave the money to his parents, now he lives at home while making lots of money with streaming and helps his parents with the bills, they don't even have to stand slutty golddiger gf at their place, cause he is so shy.

i kinda hate this kind of people.
