Anytime[gm] doesn't accent the "Anytime" as much as Anytime..[gm]
i got this from the gm clan website. the reason why there is a ".." after the name before [gm] is because they are trial players, meaning, they aren't yet fully "accepted" within the clan. they first have to go through a trial period with the ".." after their name, so that other players within the clan will recognize them as trial players, and i guess, test them out. still...this doesn't help that not many of us can actually join clan gm. going back to any good clans around...does anyone know of a good american clan then?

ohh i thought GM would stand for something else! but yeah they have tons of great players!

koreans are notorious for being clan hoppers (at least they used to be) they probably were just all in gm and then turned out to be really good, or they were really good and then recruited. I know what you mean. I remember seeing someone named Phro or something in [gm], [gsp], [name], [3.33], and eventually like [S.O]. I know some Koreans are outrageous clanhoppers. From what I understand, the majority of the people in [gm] did a bunch of clan hopping to get the feeling of each group, then settled in [gm], and just so happened to melt faces :D I can't remember, but WAY back in like patch 1.08 roughly, I saw [GsP]+___+Members as well as midas[gm], only person who wasn't in like [3.33] or GsP in the channel and wondered who he was. :D I truthfully think they are all like... "yeah, he's my friend, let him in the clan." and it developed into this :D Midas was in [gm] way before he was "known" on a largescale

All the oldschool Neogeneration Chronicle players used [NC]...
The only NC players who don't have it are the later members like ChOJJa[NC], who had to put the [NC} at the end because bnet didn't allow [ at beginning of names anymore. (Yeah, ChOJJa is part of NC)

sorry i wasn't able to clarify. after the trial period is over and the regular gm clan members think the ".." member is ready, they get rid of ".."
i'm not sure how clan NC works, but it might be the same system

nbs good toss, in a pro team i think
His ID is listed on the gm site as Pretty[gm]
nbs is a practice partner for CJ Entus. Which means if he survives the CJ bootcamp, he'll become a fucking beast.

NC didn't use that system. All of them had the ..., even [NC]...Leader.

apm doesn't always equate to skill Ganfei. sometimes i get taken down by a less than 300 apm user because of nice strategy that he uses. what do you mean by USA A team material?

Sorry if I'm not so knowledgeable. I've only been on the brood war scene for about...say 6 months or so, and have just played randomly against friends nearby, nothing serious. but they've told me i have a really fast hand, and my apm does average around 300, so they told me to switch from protoss to terran, which i enjoy more. the thing is i want to play with a dedicated group of peeps who are serious about improving their play, and i thought clans would be a good idea, so any help would be appreciated.

Ganfei was being a serious asshole, and I was just surprised that you didn't see the sarcasm in his post (so much so that I had to spam)
Basically, he was telling you that APM doesn't mean anything and that unless you're very good (as in, among the top players in the USA or wherever you happen to live) that a clan like Micro Media won't take you.
