I don't really know a lot about it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the regular numbers for most of them are what they look like now. Less than 100. They have too much competition with each other, most of their audience are adults with other things to do, and they stream for several hours a day. The situation is that they're streaming from their parents houses while biding their time for military (this I do know, since three top players said it in an interview). The only times you're going to see big numbers is during a big show match or in SSL or something like that. It'll be interesting to see what kind of viewership a tournament like LoveTV or SSL are really getting when they start up. That should be prime time and give a better idea of who is still watching BW. | ||

Dude, you're getting overzealous about the revival of BW. BW doesn't need to be back to its OGN/MBC glory days for the bw community to enjoy. You can't force people to like it; and besides that, those who will enjoy BW will naturally gravitate towards BW itself (whether through featured news or the stream sidebar). I'm already quite happy with the state of BW right now (is not having LoveSL3 and SSL 10 already enough for ya?) | ||

I think you should consider being more welcoming and patient (see how that works both ways?) with newcomers instead of being so needlessly hostile to everyone that says something you think might somehow be interpreted as an attack on Brood War. He asked a legitimate question, you could have answered it as a knowledgable veteran instead of coming across like a dick. | ||

FYI guys, the viewership numbers on the sidebar are not indicative of the entire audience watching atm. For instance, on the sidebar it says HiyA only has 69 viewers, but according to the Afreeca player, it shows him w/ ~700 viewers (afreeca player + mobile app) atm. I suspect they are keeping the two numbers separate for whatever reason. I am also not sure if this will be a permanent thing. I hope the number of streams included on the sidebar is expanded .. I'd love to see DoE included, he's probably my favorite streamer nowadays. | ||

I agree that it sucks that there's no centralized place for people to discuss BW streams. I would be all for #tl-bw irc to take that place. For now we have only added LoveTV and SonicTV streams for events. | ||
