Yea, I'm torn. On the one hand it doesn't make a ton of sense to have:
Shuttle snipealot: Shuttle
But at the same time it makes it a little less likely for chat. I guess the best way to do it as a community that I can think of is watch on snipealot if the player you're interested in is on, if not on snipe and you want to watch someone different then watch the afreeca direct feed.
Thinking about it there is one thing I don't really like, and that is the fact that the Afreeca guys are going to keep all the gosu foreigners down at the bottom. Anyway we could have a sub category for foriegner/Korean or default foreign streams to the top of the list.
this is a awesome feature love the look of it but you guys gotta work out a way to fit in snipealot channels (maybe different category restreams w/e) since it its a place where you can discuss/watch streams easily with guaranteed no buffering
we should really keep snipealot streams in the spotlight this way its sortof ''hurting'' the twitch sc/bw community ie folks who join the twitch chat asking how to get on broodwar or iccup serv etc..
Hmmm the main purpose of the restreams was to give people a place to chat (ala twitch chat). the only disadvantage of the afreeca streams now are that theres no place for english speakers to chat. I don't necessarily agree with unfeaturing the snipe streams, but I can see why you would want to do that.

Agree wholeheartedly, I'd also really like to see the snipealot streams either featured or in a featured sub-group.
Anyone could watch the streams with Livestreamer or Afreeca Player for the past few years, but it was the snipealot Twitch chats that really enabled the social interaction and sense of community. There's a lot more activation energy required to get folks to install/use an IRC client or webchat than simply using Twitch

you can have a snipealot mod put these players on until there's support for all the players (snipealot has all streamers)

You are pathetic for assuming that every one wants to "succeed in sc2"
Your argument fails when one considers that some korean BW experts never tried to play StarCraft 2 professionally.
And even if they had, your statement would have been dumb. I tried listening to black metal. But I didn't like it, so I went back to death metal. Are you going to tell me that death metal is just for those who couldn't succeed at black metal?
People explore and try various things. They don't like everything. That doesn't mean they failed. It means they tried something and realized that they didn't like it.
But yes, it is indeed possible that some BW experts tried to get good at SC2, and quit SC2 when they failed. Why does that mean that we can't enjoy their BW games? Every human should contribute to humanity as a whole with what he can offer - what he is good at.
If you're good at BW but bad at SC2, then you should obviously be playing Brood War and producing great Brood War games. Not trying to do something that you can't.
I'm still trying black metal. I'm not done yet. Good music takes time and effort to learn to appreciate. It just seems simplistic, which I don't like. But I haven't given up yet.

The fact BW can still retain quite an audience after 15 years shows it strong legacy. Very few other games can say the same.
You have to consider the fact that Afreeca is mostly Korea only. So a 500 Afreeca viewers >>> Twitch Viewers. 500 Afreeca viewers can be a comfortable living.
I don't really know a lot about it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the regular numbers for most of them are what they look like now. Less than 100. + Show Spoiler +
They have too much competition with each other, most of their audience are adults with other things to do, and they stream for several hours a day.
The situation is that they're streaming from their parents houses while biding their time for military (this I do know, since three top players said it in an interview).
The only times you're going to see big numbers is during a big show match or in SSL or something like that. It'll be interesting to see what kind of viewership a tournament like LoveTV or SSL are really getting when they start up. That should be prime time and give a better idea of who is still watching BW.
