This is the most accurate answer possible. Anyone not able to grasp whether it is a virus or not, should treat it as a virus.

I am just curious, not looking for smart ass / ridiculous responses. if i say its 100% clean would you believe me? Anyway i wanna start working on .121 version and streaming it. Today installed programming stuff and tomorrow or later i will try/fix few things. First will be with fake twitch login and authorizing mca64Launcher - steps from here (this worked in earlier versions, but from few months its broken) ![]()

Just block launcher from firewall but let access to StarCraft.exe. So you can host but launcher can't access your system, it's just a tool so restriction won't affect connection.

While mcaLauncher likely doesn't have malicious code in it (virus scanners tend to give a lot of false positives for programs that do DLL injection as its also a technique commonly used by viruses, but is useful for other things, like modifying the behavior of a program at runtime), this is extraordinarily bad advice. Firewalls are purely about network traffic, and: 1) There are plenty of malicious things you can do without causing network traffic 2) mcaLauncher has to be run as admin, once its run as admin it can: - Turn off firewall blocks for itself - Send network traffic using other whitelisted executables via DLL/code injection (e.g. it can just send all relevant network traffic through Starcraft's process, which it was already injecting code into) So yeah, if you don't trust the program, don't run it. It's really as simple as that. You're not going to be able to sandbox it from accessing your stuff unless you run it on a machine (or a virtual machine) that simply doesn't have that stuff, and you're definitely not going to be able to sandbox it from the network.
