If one race was evidently stronger than the other, this game wouldnt last 6+ years and everybody would have been the one race in that short time the game was out. Thats what makes sc/bw special, the races are even. Its the player, luck and map that make up who wins. Not the race.

If there is a "best race", the differences between it and the other 2 would be very minor. Picking Terran won't suddenly make you a pro gamer or anything. Besides, I can't use Terran for shit, but Zerg is natural-feeling to me.

Protoss has the most OGN wins, in fact I think they have as many as both terran and zerg put together.

Terran consistantly seemed to win the 'race wars' of Game-Q and gembc when they were run.

Zerg has probably performed the most consistantly of all the races, winning I believe the most non-ogn major tournies and usually putting in the most competitors into a given tourney.

There are compelling reasons to choose each race as the best based on record, and thats a compelling reason to accept they are pretty balanced.

the point is. THERE IS NO RACE BETTER.

Some maps favour zerg build orders and some maps favour toss air etc etc.

It is 99% up to the player if he wins or not. If u say hey i lost because zvp on vahala is impossible I would disagree. Sure you will have a desadvantage if you use a regular build order. But if you micro and macro well with a strat tweaked to the map, there can only be a VERY VERY VERY slight advantage.

oh and btw if there was a person in this world who would do the most crazy shit with his dragoons and zealots (and what so ever) would there still be 1000 topics called *toss sux* ? No cuz i never see a topic *terran sux* because terran has a player like boxer and many more.

If you don't get it, try this: WHAT IF BOXER USED PROTOSS?

first of all, statistics are crap, you dont include crap players to talk about what races can potentially do (yes this game DOES have numbers in there somewhere, this isnt the matrix where you can bend reality to your mind, although the mental aspect is a large part of it and can compensate for a great deal of blah blah that's the good part)

do you think there's a reason that the most talented players in the world play terran? do you think that's just a coincidence?

and you think protoss just have to mix it up more? you know why they don't? they cant fucking afford to against real players with solid strats. they'll get behind and die in more important things. you could _easily_ reduce many costs for protoss and it wouldn't even be imbalance on the maps people play now, up the larva rate a little and have a better game that wouldn't be any less "perfectly balanced" than you fanboys claim it is right now

I have seen garimto reps, and I think he's amazing, but I haven't actually seen him play anyone I think is on his level. It's the same as the boxer analogy. Boxer and Nada are on top and they happen to be terran. Garimto was amazing in his prime and he happened to be toss...

Well...I found out this guy was wrong....I'd spent about a month hanging around all three races, testing their mental and physical prowess. I found that members of the Zerg race seemed to be mindless, yet pure muscle, when playing basketball they ran around in circles, when boxing, the put up a good fight, but could never hold their ground long, and when taking standardized I.Q. Test, they proved that they were illiterate....clearly the Zerg are not candidates for anything but last spot. Terran, although scored the highest on the I.Q. test, lacked in the physical area that would be needed to dominate the competition in a physical war. The Protoss scored higher than the zerg on the I.Q. test, but lower than the humans, for it seemed that no matter what question was asked, the answer was always "For Auir", this cost them dearly, but they were able to dominate the physical rounds effortlessly, Tassadar seemed like a slow fellow, but in a game of basketball he proved no one could drive it to the hole like he. Although it was thought that the terran had won the 100 meter dash, their gold medal was later revoked and awarded to the protoss after the terran failed the drug tests, it was a sad moment for terranian's everywhere.....So my scientific conclusion comes from this data, which we can draw our clear cut winners...

Intelligence: Gold..Terran Silver.. Protoss Bronze.. Zerg
100 Meter Dash: Gold..Protoss Silver..Zerg Bronze..Terran
Boxing: Gold..Protoss Silver..Zerg Bronze..Terran
Basketball: Gold..Protoss Silver..Terran Bronze..Zerg

So the medal count goes as follows:
Protoss: 3 Gold, 1 Silver
Terran: 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze
Zerg: 2 Silver, 2 Bronze

adding up the scores, supposing gold = 3 points, silver = 2 and bronze = 1, we have:
Protoss: 11 points
Terran: 7 Points
Zerg: 6 Points

Which cleary, and surely, as any retard with a stick can understand this system, Protoss are #1, Terran are #2 and Zerg are #3
