Also, this is not an official LP News, just an update by me.
New Tournaments
The "new" tournaments are almost all Korean, featuring the stars from SOSPA. Almost all of them have VODs, News and interviews to them.
Editors: Mustaju, HP.Shell, Endy, imallinson, Hyde, remag, ArvickHero, Aesop

The only tournament to be foreign is from the D Ranks scene - again. The scene to apparently be most organized.

As for tournaments goes, Hp.Shell (Liquileaks incoming) experimented a bit to improve the infoboxes for the overview pages. The changes (which apparently aren't final yet, can be found in the spoiler. Go and encourage Hp.Shell to finalize this!

Strategy: Protoss
For the more interesting stuff happening in the past month:
Editors: myself, Hp.Shell
The Protoss strategy Portal is completely done - at least all existing articles have been worked over and new categories have been created. It should now be a lot easier for a beginner to judge whether or not a strategy is still viable, when to use it, what better not to use if the goal is to train mechanics. A few old articles were completely deleted, as they were just copies, badly written or featured nothing than the page title.
However, little to no progress was made for the overall strategy overview, the Zerg and the Terran portal. The Terran portal is a bit of an exception, as
Odds and Ends
The ICCup Admin and secret tech helper Xboi209 invested quite a bit of time over the past month to update various technical articles. Listing all changes he did is a bit hard to do. Most important is, he updated version numbers and fixed quite a lot of links to working downloads.
One of the newer user - immanot - updated dozens of unit pages. He cleaned out typos, added a paragraph where information was missing and added redirects for several search terms, so that you can find information a little faster and directly.
Tutorials
A few weeks ago I asked salle (the oldest person you have ever met) to maybe add more help pages to Liquipedia Brood War. He did and he did it fast. That's where I was wrong. I thought he added tutorials about specific pages - for example how a tournament page has to be done, with all the Wiki-Code you need for it. Regardless, the Brood War Wiki has now a lot of helpful pages, which it didn't. I tried in the past days to write some tutorials for tournaments and strategy articles.
How to contribute?
Back to the goal of this summary - contribute! You'll get shiny coins (except gold, which is reserved to Salle and the Puzzle gang).
- A big do not: Some more "experienced" editors had a short discussion about which kind of edits we would reject. Recently, a lot more SCII trivia was added to several player profiles and related articles. It's ok to write in which team a player nowadays plays, but please - SCII Trivia belongs on the SCII Wiki. Tons of achievements a player scored in KeSPA SCII (or other related HotS / WoL tournaments), are not that interesting on the BW Wiki.
- The Zerg and Terran Strategy pages need a lot of love. Browse through it, add the new design if it isn't there, add more information, re-write it, check for dead VODs. More information can be found in the Strategy Forum
- 2on2 Strategy: In the past year a quite malicious user added tons of bad edits to the BW Wiki, mostly trying to add "2on2" strategy. Even though his advice was faulty at best, there seem to be no real 2on2 guide lines on the Brood War Wiki. If you are a 2on2 player, you could try to add some thoughts there. 2on2 in the foreign scene isn't dead yet.
- Tournaments: The Korean tournaments announced lately are only partially covered well enough. If you're a regular on Snipe's channel, you might do live updates. This is fairly easy and helps out a lot!
- Afreeca, BJs: The
Afreeca page doesn't look really great. It could use a lot more work. Same goes for some of the new BJ pages. There should be enough interviews and trivia posts on Teamliquid to give them a nicer profile. - Special:RecentChanges: If you're bored and at work, check this from time to time. Browse through the changes and scout for typos. Fix them. This is also helping out, a lot more than you think. You can do the same by pressing Random Page from time to time.

but I'm very thankful to you guys!
It s nice to see the BW liquipedia growing/evolving
