I guess they're all fine with it since they continue to play them, but i wonder if they ever complain? the standard was bo5 because each tournament had a pool of 4 maps, so you could repeat one map for the first and last game if needed. also because everything was on cable tv, finals needed to fit within a certain time period and bo7's jeopardized going overtime. that being said, the only time ever an individual final was bo7 was the golf king msl between nada and gorush which i think was only done just to try and separate msl from the osl in terms of making it its own thing. personally i'm not a fan of quarter final bo7's in the asl as it takes away the prestige of the length. quarter finals being bo5 was perfect but in the current state of the asl there seems to be zero place for it. if they won't budge with the qf's being bo5 at least make the final qualifying game from the ro16 groups bo5 just to add a bit of drama. | ||
