The short answer is you can't. You have to download that version of Brood War, or have 1.16 + the appropriate files from older versions and run it through BWChart (I forget which files specifically but there are a couple; storm.dll is one of them iirc). It is easier to just install that version separately that you are looking for.
Frick. What's going on? I used to have a great connection and would jump start other people's games for TL tourneys. Somehow I'm the problem connection now. Can't get this stupid 3v2 game going on Battlenet !!!!

The short answer is you can't. You have to download that version of Brood War, or have 1.16 + the appropriate files from older versions and run it through BWChart (I forget which files specifically but there are a couple; storm.dll is one of them iirc). If you have a 1.16 install you just need the exe's from previous versions. Not having the other files from those versions means things occasionally don't line up (namely text labels sometimes) but it doesn't affect the actual gameplay so the replays play fine. Provided you can find a 1.16 install, you can probably find a copy of 7xPatcher somewhere on the internet to patch to the lower versions. Running it through BWChart is unnecessary, it just launched the old exe's, which you can do yourself anyway.

Running it through BWChart was an easy way to access multiple older versions, only reason I suggested it thank you for the clarification on the necessary files!
Man the lag every single game vs Koreans is getting ridiculous, I literally match 90%+ vs Korean players only (I am living in southern California) and every single game lags, it is not my internet connection though, I am on 200 Mbps Download / 20 Mbps UP.
I know everyone else is having issues too, when is Blizzard going to fix this?
Installed BW again and played again during this quarantine time. Somehow apm increased from 90 to 140. But still noob, although I play BGH only. Haha. I think I should get a separate keyboard since I play on laptop, its keyboard warms up, and the palm sweats.

Here in Romania I play on Europe and is very bad! Keeps lagging and my dragoons are not shooting right at all !!!!

APM now includes calculations from the first 2 minutes when most people are spamming anyway. BWChart did not do this IIRC.
