Could maybe someone explain to me WHY BW is more interesting/challenging than SCII. As far as I know the differences are not that big. Just because the players are not very good the game is not necessarily bad.

Note that I think the rumor about lower skillcap of SCII is crap. Players still die to bad multitasking...

Ofc beating current sc2 korean pros will take more time since then it'll be more about smaller decisions that need to be learned by massing more games.

Ya i have to agree with this, I think people are hyping this a little to much. Yes flash will be good one of the best inn sc2. but getting inn to masters as one of the best RTS players inn the world through history it should not come as a surprise he will be among the 2% of the players just by pure rts skills. getting among the 0,1% will take longer.

Just look at Forgg(Fin) he was a good BW pro. He was so confident he said he would win Code S his first season in code S, we are now at the second season of his at gsl and he has again dropped down to code A, and is 1 lose from falling inn to code B. And he never advanced through the first round even. BW pros are not gods, they will be some of the best players no doubt, but lets not go overboard with hype.

he was in rehabilitation.

You can only say 'you know' when you've played 100+ BW games and reached D+ or maintained D on ICCup.

Like Hyun! Sure, he wasn't S-class, but he was still an A-teamer, top 30 on KeSPA rankings the month he switched, and leaps and bounds better at BW than any SC2 players were at time of switch.

And it shows! Look at all the success he's had in SC2! Sure, he's a mere 0-3 in the GSL/GSTL, but if you look at TLPD and include all his games in minor tournaments, he's an astounding 1-11.

Okay, so it was only one win. But it was against Revival, who's a terrifying 86th in Korean SC2 ELO rank!

HyuN gets bettere and better.
Watch his online Weekly Cups, if you have even a slightly idea how sc2 works
you will see that he will be one of the best zergs soon.

I think it's mostly people that have some sort of bitterness toward sc2, a lack of experience with sc2, or are just uninformed. The games are different, so yeah, not everyone is going to like both, but they require very similar skill sets and are a lot more similar than angry elitists make them out to be.
Like Tinkerbelle, I leave behind a sparkly residue.

I doubt they will get rid of all of BW, I bet you some of the pros, if not most may stay in BW till it is no longer profitable.

The point is, Flash did it injured and basically on 1 arm, i know its still only masters but its fairly impressive imo.

Some people play the sc2 single player campaign on brutal with only marines and no upgrades. Flash does that in multiplayer.

Source or I ain't buying it I recall reading his first interview when he won a single game he didn't say he is confident to win the code S in the first try he stated that he was following MVP play style really closely . Don't twist the story to give an inaccurate facts okay ?

Not buying the whole elephant in the room thing. Not because of the players but rather because of SC2. I do not believe SC2 currently or in the future has the capacity to really show of the skill disparity between god tier players and good players.

I just feel like a part of me died. I just refuse to accept SC2 as a succesor of BW.... I mean i tried hard to watch and enjoy it but its just not happening . The complexity of the streams together with the whole " give me money if you dont wanna watch terrible stream " just pulls me away even more.

Well I'm done with Starcraft I guess and gonna follow Dota 2 casually like I've been in the past couple of weeks.

I'm a BW fan but I'm not going to sit here and say every single BW game is interesting. If you look at the recommended games from the LR threads most of them are not even recommended.
