Replays to Week 3 have been linked, rankings have been updated!
Berkeley is in need of a new coordinator
Hey guys, its Collegiate Broodwar Season 3!
What is CBW? It's a fun team-league organized by schools for the BW community. Colleges battle it out over two rounds throughout the season for a spot in the playoffs, where the winner is the champion of the season! Long live Broodwar!
All games must be played with an Anti-hack program (wLauncher, MiniLauncher, ICCup Launcher, etc) and in LAN Latency.
Don't cheat, don't have someone not on your team's roster play a game for your team, etc
Keep BM to acceptable levels. Excessive BM will result in penalty.
Matches will be played biweekly. It is the responsibility of each team's coordinator to communicate with their upcoming opponent about when the match will be played. Matches can be played any time within the alloted two-week period.
Only players on your roster may be allowed to play, using the IDs provided in the roster. If a different ID is to be used, please notify ahead of time.
Coordinators should PM me their lineups for their next match by the appointed deadline. Once both coordinators have submitted their lineups I will post them in the thread.
On the subject of sub-ins, after line-ups are posted Coordinators are allowed to sub-in players up to 24 hours before the match is set to play. All sub-ins must be playing the same listed race of the player they are subbing, no exceptions.
Once a match is over either team's coordinator should notify me and give me replays. Replays are required to be saved and uploaded for me to download, otherwise you will have to regame whatever sets that don't have replays.
Failure to meet deadlines for sending in lineups or playing matches will result in a penalty, unless I grant special exception.
If a disconnect occurs and you can not agree that there was an obvious winner, regame. If you very much believe that there was an obvious winner contact me and I will look at the replay.
Alumni and students who know for sure that they will be attending a certain college next year are allowed to play for that college. Also, high schools are allowed to enter as well.
If you cannot find enough players to form a team, you may mercenary for other teams, or combine with others to form your team.
If there are questions regarding anything ask me by posting in this thread or PMing me
Above all, do what you need to get stuff done. If your team's coordinator is unavailable, feel free to have another member of your team act as your team's coordinator for that week.
Penalties:
Any rule that is broken will result in a penalty for the team.
First 3 offenses that warrant a penalty will result in -1 to total game differential (so if you played 1 match and went 3-0, 1 penalty would have your total game differential as +2 instead of +3. Would only matter if you are tied with another team).
Further penalties will result in -1 to match score. (This would directly affect your ranking)
Match Format:
There will be a suggested map order for each match that should be used unless both teams can agree to something different.
Matches will be Bo5 at default, but may be played as Bo3 or Bo7 if agreed by both parties.
Matches will be Proleague style (i.e. each player may only play one set except for the last set which is an ace set) by default, however up to 2 sets may be swapped out for 2v2s if agreed by both parties.
In the event where there are not enough players for a Bo5, the match may be played in a Bo3, a 2v2 to substitute 1-2 sets, or a repeat fielding of a player (within the first 4 sets) may be allowed.
Lineups will be posted prior to each game.
League Format:
The season will consist of two rounds, followed by playoffs.
Each round will have every team play each other once.
Top 4 ranked teams will be seeded into the playoffs (subject to change)
Teams: (School/Roster) Carnegie Mellon University + Show Spoiler +
Sick, you guys are back. Unfortunately I can't participate because my computer is busted, but there's next season, and by then I'll have finalized my university applications. These games gonna be casted?
FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK a mod needs to change that for me -_-''''''
snipinpanda if you can include a player roster you'll be registered
and idk if all the games will be casted, but I'm sure some will get casted. I plan to make replays for every match available anyways, for team coordinators to study and for others to watch (or record/commentate if they want).
Uh, here's a tentative player roster (I'll add more when I remember): snipin_panda - T joga-bonito - ZvT/ZvP/PvZ chaotic_flare - P crunchums - Z donzodonzo - ZvT/ZvP/TvZ alterprist - P SARS[CMU] - P .sWarm. - Z Pascack-X17 - Z Archaic - Z riceball - Z
No I will not be coordinating for UCSD, as coordinator for CBW I think I should remain impartial ... so someone needs to take the mantle of coordinating UCSD lol
Oh wow this is great, I'va always wanted to see something like this. I'll try to make people at my college participate. We would suck so hard but at least it's better than nothing no?
2 question tho, how are the matches played? Can we spectate our participant? Like every members of one team can obs his fellow teammate?
And what happens if you play vs a team who are only 3? I guess you are forced to play a best of 3? or maybe someone can play twice before it gets to ace match?

It is all situational. Matches are just whenever you two teams agree to meet, and you play over iccup. You will have to ask your opponent if you can obs (unless I'm streaming it ) and most teams will be ok with it until the lag comes around.
And, again, you have to work it out with your opponent, but you will probably do old school PL format, where you can reuse players for 2v2 and ace

Matches will be played in a schedule agreed by both parties within a designated 2-week timeframe. Usually, in one sitting, but sometimes it'll be played over a couple of days if everyone's schedule is too conflicting. Games are more than welcomed to be spectated, or even casted! However, in the event of lag, the players have the right to kick out casters/observers in order to reduce lag (replays must still be saved though)
In the event of playing against a 3-man team, it can be played as a Bo3, but can also be played as a Bo5 where one person will be played twice, or 1-2 set/s get/s replaced with 2v2.
And skillwise, it doesn't matter! All that matters is you have fun! Hope you can sign a team up :D
Yeah I'll make sure people at my school participate with me. I can't guarantee anything tho, but I'll try my best tomorrow and see their opinion about this.

I'm gonna see if I can get a Hopkins team going. I know a few people who might be interested, but if any TLers happen to go here and play BW, please PM me so we can collaborate!
Anybody from UBC still play BW??? I'll coordinate a team if there are people. I think I'll drop by the regular CSL team and try to recruit some players!

Hey, I don't know anyone from UCSB who still plays bw. Would you care to team up to form something of a UC team?
i vote for a UC (non san diego) cbw team ^_^
Hahah, awesome.
So shall we set this up?
PS What's wrong with SD? lol
UCSD had a pretty strong CBW team last season, so they wouldn't really need to merge with anyone. I'm willing to merge SB/Cal/R, but I think its better first you guys try to find more players in your school first to try to raise your own team. You'd be surprised to find how many ppl play in your school haha
Since I am the only known existing SC BW player at my college in Brooklyn, I will put myself as a free agent mercenary to be picked up by any east coast teams. If in the fact, we have an unified New York team with the possibility of regular or semi-regular meetings somewhere in the city with practice matches, booze and food, I will take the challenge and join.
Also note that I am graduating after this semester and potentially either a. get a professional job at some media organization, or b. go to Korea and teach English for a year. In either case, I will probably no longer be in NYC and won't have time to play BW or any games at all starting 2012... But nonetheless, I can make this a very happy Fall 2011 Season as I have many skills in all sort of things including BW and shaking my hand with Savior 2 years ago is a proof of my experience.

someone needs to recruit this man NOW! on a side note, hopefully there will be many teams that participate this season :D

Just for reference, l10f goes to Cornell, so he's also in NY.
I'm just high school child... 99.99% sure nobody from huntington beach high school plays, but if anyone wants to let me play on their team then please let me know! I want to participate as mercenary ^^ T user
We need a manager cuz dRaW is too stupid to run the team
I'll play for any team that wants a player that is unbeatable and is guaranteed to win every single game, or rather any team that has someone that isn't dRaW can absorb our team and take some free wins off of my games
On September 25 2011 16:43 l10f wrote: Zergneedsfood, you should manage the NY team.
Hmmmmm....we'll see. If I can round up enough players, then that would be great!
Anybody interested in a NY team (because NYU has no team) just let me know. If you're already affiliated with a university that has a team, please don't drop that for this. We're just a bunch of collective freelancers (I guess) who want to form a team.
I think a unified NY team would work already, there's around 5 ppl posted in this thread who live in NY, so those players + the other ones ZNF knows could make for a pretty good team!
I also believe an unified NY team would be awesome, a band of free agents and mercenaries to form one ultimate team. Not only we'll have a richer diverse team compared to other teams that origins from only one specific location, but it'll be like an analogy similar to having the current OZ, MBC, and WeMade Fox all join into one stack team. We'll stand out among all and we shall take the gold easily as long as we meet up in the city to practice, drink, eat and party! Since NYC is the center of the world in terms of diversity, culture, fashion, media, people, and everything else, we'll add Starcraft to that list!
I fully support the unified New York (and possibly expand to Tri-state area since we might have people outside of NYC to join) under the combination alliance of all surrounding people in the area! Now all we need is an awesome formal name for the team, a coordinator to lead us, a hangout spot somewhere in the city, and willingness and teamwork of all potential members of this team!
I will manage the NY team. I won't play (unless we really really really need keyboard Zergs) but I will manage you guys. I SHALL LEAD YOU GUYS TO VICTORY~!!!

McGill university will probably be able to field a team for this, I will be able to confirm around the end of the week, but I think you can count us in.
Roster will probably look like this: Zepish(p) Freaky(z), he may not be able to play often some C- guy, some other quite active bw player Maybe some other ppl from the sc2 club who ever played broodwar.
I think we should be okay. Thank you for reviving this league!

Good coordinators are not necessarily high-ranking players .. if you know you can get ppl to show up on time for matches and are willing to sacrifice time to help your players prepare, analyze other teams and make good lineups, then you should go ahead and be a coordinator
On September 28 2011 01:23 duncan.mc wrote: What's the general level of play in CBW?
its hard to give an iccup rank nowadays because ICCUP ranks are all fucked up ever since so many good players left for fish, but last year if you were D+ you would more than likely be matched up against players you can at least be competitive against most of the time.
I just want to quickly update my playing experience and background.
I am a Protoss AND Zerg user. I mainly play zerg but against terran, I will ALWAYS play protoss. I could also pvp, pvz, but I can also zvp, zvz well. Just that against T, I must do PvT!
So is it possible to be a dual race and I'll just let the team and my opponent know beforehand which race I'm picking in advance when I play??
Lastly, in terms of my skill level (besides the fact that I literally met the entire 09 CJ team and shook hands with savior at one point in front of 50 girls on Valentines by jumping out of the tree from the back) is the following:
2 years ago - D+/C- ranking in protoss - D+/C- ranking in zerg
Current ability (estimate): - D-/D in protoss - D in zerg
Now I could easily improve since I watch A LOT of BW games and I have the combination mindset of Calm/Clam, Hyuk, and Kwanro in zerg setting. For protoss.... not sure who I can refer myself as but I'm good at developing builds and I can definitely help others in that department.
So with that, I hope my fellow New Yorkers are satisfied with my capability and for others, you better watch out....

Team sign ups pretty much closed now, with a few special extensions to certain teams that have requested more time. This does not mean signups as players are closed though, anyone interested in joining is welcome to contact a team coordinator and play for them throughout the season.
As of now, the rounds will probably be played much like Proleague with no division, in a bi-weekly format. Expected duration of each round is around 3.5 months .. unless teams can REALLY think they can play games in a weekly format to speed things up.
There will be a predetermined map-pool each round, 5 modern maps and 4 older maps, and map order of each match will be composed of 3-4 modern maps and 1-2 older maps. Lineups will need to be sent 1-1 1/2 weeks before the deadline of each match ..
For mercenaries without teams at the moment, I will find you guys teams by Tuesday the latest .. still need to sorta wait on the potential teams that I've given a small extension to.
By Tuesday, everything will probably be finalized. If there are any further questions, feel free to ask!
darn, I think my school is too lazy/scared to play since we don't have anyone over C or so (and all the C-/C players play sc2 basically exclusively now...)
Rank on iccup these days means nothing, and nor does a "28-5" record. If anything, the way you said it implies a connotation of you bragging about it - and 28-5 these days is trash.
And yes, if you want to challenge me and you want me to demolish you 4-0 to prove that your 28-5 record means nothing, I will. (that is, if you choose to argue with me)

thanks son. you're a cool guy! I hope we can become best friends soon.
I was implying that since I don't know my rank (i never maxed out) I gave the only information that I had that could at all be relevent to my "rank" on iccup. Therefore, a winning % at C will be better than a losing % at D+. That much can be certain.

Not that ammeL isn't overly presumptuous and aggressive in his post, but the point at which you decide to stop playing could be considered "maxing out" because you didn't have the will to go on. For all anyone knows, you could have gotten there, and been too scared to go further, knowing you will lose the next 10 matches. I think that's the point he was trying to make, because 28-5 can become either 50-5 or 28-28 in a week. That's where your skill is determined.
Fair enough. I dont play iccup and havent in a while because of the lack of player pool, I'm not going to wait 20 minutes to get 1 game at the yellow ranks, and even longer at the blue (it's worsened as I can't create).. I was B- before Star2 was released. I play mostly on BrainClan and with a few friends on UsWest.

Again, we're open to anyone in the New York area.
sadly im in Virginia.
There's no team in Virginia right?
You also played a lot with Boes right?
You can be honorary New Yorker in that case! xDDD
Also, I want to start arranging practices with each other (zil, l10f, zow, etc) where we just practice with each other. I think that's much better than trying ladder up the ranks all day long. I should tell Sheep to send you guys PMs or something...

And would the practice me via online or we meet up with our laptops or something on SC and do LAN that way? I wouldn't mind either way, as long as I get booze both ways! :D
Someone add me and purind already? We're from ottawa (USEast time zone) I made A- 79-11 with offrace and no keyboard, I can't prove it so just take my word.

aha offline meetups would be cool but sadly i go to boarding school in new jersey... but if u guys get together during the breaks i can def come out
Since I'm assuming all the other legit school teams get to meet up every time they're out to practice or have a match, at the very least, the NY team should have an occasional meetups, just once a while since we all are separated and spread out. Talk about Proleague and BW, bashing other schools and how anything in NY is superior, getting some korean food and booze, what more could we wish for?
I don't trust those NYC LAN meetups anymore since they're all strictly SC2 fans and don't play BW. Nothing against them, but our own meetup would be awesome just for this cause!

Both. Depends on what suits our needs the best! :D
But yeah, playing one on one is the best way to practice IMO. Playing on ladder is nice, but I think we can get a lot better this way. :D
Also...if Fana ever sees this post: You got a good preview of CBW eeehhhh!?!?!??!?!??
jk jk Don't kill me.
Edit: @Quickstriker, some of our meet ups in NYC are BW related! :D Sheep and I go all the time.
It seems that this season has more than the previous... seems more fun, and it seems that people are really itching for BW since there's been too much SC2 stuff going on.
Georgia Tech won season 1. Teams in season 2 just didn't want to play anymore, I guess because it was the beginning of Summer, so there was never a winner.

Rutgers is in the finals waiting for its opponent, which is the winner of Tappan Zee vs CMU(?).
We are willing to play whenever but if that is not the case, we are the winners of Season 2 by default.

This is true.
Until any further notice/if the other 2 teams currently in the semi finals can't figure it out, then Rutgers is obviously the winner of Season 2.

Sorry! Past couple of days have really been an unexpected hell of busywork, and right now I am pretty damn exhausted. However, to get things rolling, lets go ahead and formally announce the start of CBW 10-11 R1!
First Matches (must be played by October 16th): Rutgers vs John Hopkins La Mancha Icarus Fighting Spirit Match Point Circuit Breakers
CMU vs New York New Bloody Ridge Circuit Breakers Fortress Tau Cross La Mancha
UCSD vs UC Berkeley New Bloody Ridge Neo Aztec Icarus Fortress Fighting Spirit
Georgia vs McGill Circuit Breakers New Bloody Ridge La Mancha Tau Cross Match Point
Coordinators, the deadline to PM your lineup is the 8th (this Saturday). Mercenaries, I am EXTREMELY sorry that I could not find you guys a team yet, but it has just been too busy for me the last few days. Please wait just a little ! ;_;
Sorry everything is so plain atm, I will do fancy formatting and extra detailed rules by Thursday T_T

I'm just restricting maps to be chosen from a pre-designated map-pool so that it's a bit easier for coordinators/teams to prepare, and each match is composed of about 3-4 "modern" maps and 1-2 "old" maps from the pool. The map pool will change next round.

Er sorry, I mean how each of the map selections for each match is different depending on which schools are playing. Like CMU v NY has different maps than the other schools. I know it's all from the map pool, but, I'm just wondering.

oh I was just randomizing it, unless most ppl want the map order to be uniform for each match in each bi-weekly segment? I can change it to that if ppl want that.

I think uniform for each match in each bi-weekly segment would be better.
(Revised) First matches: Lineups must be sent in by October 8th, Matches played by October 16th. Small extensions will be granted this first time via PM/request, but failure to meet deadlines in the future will result in a penalty
Rutgers vs John Hopkins CMU vs New York UCSD vs UC Berkeley Georgia vs McGill
Updated with some adjustments to the rules/format, specifically the option to play a Bo7, map pool has been TLPD-ized and the rest of the match schedule for R1 has been posted (map order yet to be decided).
If anything needs to be clarified, please tell me so! Also any suggestions to rules, formatting, etc, I'd be happy to hear.

When will we know about the line ups by the way?
I will post a lineup once both teams of a match send me their lineup via PM. Deadline is tomorrow, but as I said, small extensions will be granted if asked for (otherwise down comes the penalty)
On October 08 2011 08:19 krndandaman wrote: for the games, does each player set up a time with their opponent? or do we play all of the games at once?
games just need to be played before the deadline. Doesnt matter if its only a set at a time or the entire series in one night, as long as they are played and the replays are saved. Coordinators should be handling all the scheduling
Remember, replays must be saved. Also, please please pleasee play the matches with the IDs that are registered in the roster. If your player cannot play under that ID, then you should contact me so we can make corrections to the roster.
On October 08 2011 12:09 krndandaman wrote: oh do races have to be listed? what do u do with race pickers like me?
Well if you play multiple races against a particular race (like ZvZ and PvZ), then you choose which one you'd want to play for the match. Not exactly too fair for the opponent if I were to list you as P/Z
Btw, I always had an interest in commentating and doing newsy stuff as my studies are in broadcast journalism. If the opportunity arises and the time is right, can I also be the official commentator of any games that's to be streamed live in the future? The games could also be pre-played and I can also commentate just based on the replays as well....
If I somehow get my friend to upgrade my computer with parts I bought and re-install a new fresh copy of Windows that my friends have, then I have the capability of streaming as well so that's something to expect in the future. And I also got my own livestream channel that's fully active and unlimited use so we can use that for commentating and streaming matches....
You can always talk with coordinators for permission to cast their games lives ^^ hacklebeast last year casted a number of CBW games, so you could also try talking with him to form a casting team.
Replays being saved/uploaded are a requirement, so you could always go look through the archived replays of each match and choose to commentate games you like too
Well that's cool if it's definitely possible. I don't mind doing multiple commentaries of different games, hell, doing a casting team would be also awesome in groups of 2 or 3 (given that it doesn't become a total chaos in terms of who get to speak and all).
I can't stream atm due to my current desktop being unstreamable and it'll take some time before I can. In the meanwhile, even if we have a casting team, we need a streamer to have the casting game on video. I can provide my own private livestream channel for this but we definitely need a streamer at the very most...
In the most budget low quality scenario, it'll be just me and the streamer and I can solo commentate the whole bunch of matches so now to make this league successful, we need at least one single streamer who is willing to work with me to stream games while I commentate.
I'm willing to cast anyone's CBW games, I just need a to know the time in advance. I had a lot of fun doing it last year, and this year I've improved with a better comp, a second monitor, and real overlays.
Hmm.... kinda funny that ever since I mentioned the idea, everyone is jumping on the gun. But I always say, the more the merrier. While 4 people is kinda chaotic to cast at the same time, I'm sure we can always split our responsibilities and roles into smaller groups of 2-3 per match, kinda like how in Proleague or Starleagues, there are always 3 Korean commentators but in total, I think there are 9 OGN commentators....
We'll just have to see how this works out...
Now all we need is couple of streamers and I can lend them my channel or have them use their own or something....
EDIT:
As for the actual commentating, if live matches aren't possible (since they may have different time periods of each set), we can just gather the entire replay of team a vs team b and set a date and time for all casters/commentators/streamers to do a live show and also make it into a VOD form for people to watch if they can't make it... just my 2 cents...
EDIT #2:
If we are casting a certain match between 2 teams (in future), I do suggest that we should not reveal the results beforehand and have the results be naturally be shown right when the casting is done. That way, it seems REAL, like how all foreign BW tourneys have always done in the past (TSL #1 and TSL #2). Another 2 cents...
well multi-ppl casting teams are always better than solo-commentating, just need to practice coordination a bit before games haha. I would offer my services as an analytical commentator, but I'm so strapped on time nowadays I haven't even been able to touch the game for weeks ..
maybe I could be an obs, but idk how well that'd work in case of lag/delay haha
I was only offering because I did some last year, and arvichero mentioned my name. I certainly won't/don't want to cast all of them, and if you want to be NY's official caster, I'm not trying to stop you . I'll just be around for the non NY or UCSD matched (snipinpanda, I assume you aren't looking to solo contaminate, and we can do the same thing we used to).
On October 09 2011 13:42 hacklebeast wrote: I was only offering because I did some last year, and arvichero mentioned my name. I never meant to alienate one another in our future casting for matches. I also probably don't have that much of free time to cast every singe match. But it doesn't mean we should all separate each other and only cast alone or separately either. I was proposing of having an organized list of crew for the commentaries in the future. Like if we have 9 commentators, we can certainly break it down into 3 of 3s and work together on getting all matches casted effectively by splitting our roles. Obviously we'll probably be bias toward the ones our team belong to, so we have to try our best. But in the end, we'll have less casters doing it all alone (which is a pain), and also not a situation where 9 people cast one single match.
It's something we just have to think, organize and plan ahead to make this work better than last league and make it the most professional and prestige league all of us can make out of by having all the interested potential commentators/casters/observers/streamers to work together and plan things out.
On the roster list, I wanna be listed as random! I think I'll play terran for this match as it was probably the great leader's wish to strategically play me as terran in this match

I would like to know exactly what race you are so my members get practice time!
Seems like most matches are set to be played tomorrow. Week 2's map order is released now, and now that Coordinators have become better acquainted with their teams, Lineups should not take nearly as long.
Lineups are due next Thursday, 10/20. Matches need to be played by 10/30
CMU vs John Hopkins University Rutgers University vs New York Empire UCSD vs McGill University Georgia Tech vs UC Berkeley
Ah yes, and I forgot to remention that matches may be extended to a Bo7 format if both teams can agree on it ;D If so, I will add the 2 extra maps for teams wishing to play Bo7

We're the anomalies here. We were abandoned not picked at first so we decided to make our own team! \o/
Also, we make up the 8th team, so I think it's better this way. Makes us look more legit to have an even number...or something.

I'm a student at Texas A&M btw.
its only team signups that get closed at the beginning, roster addition/changes happen throughout the season (probably locked during playoffs though). Only restriction to merc'ing is that you need to be a current student ..
You could try PMing some of the coordinators, because sometimes just simply posting in the thread doesn't work out very well (like somehow all coordinators just miss it lol)
So I never get any mails from either the opposing team or my team, I guess that means we're getting WOs? Really confused on the format, so you can remove me from the team I will just watch from time to time if I get bored.

Honestly I thought I had made it clear to the coordinators that they were to handle all the scheduling issues and let the players worry about playing instead, but I guess either I didn't or some didn't get the memo :\ sorry about your confusion

Above all, do what you need to get stuff done. If your team's coordinator is unavailable, feel free to have another member of your team act as your team's coordinator for that week.
Really disappointed in JHU's coordinator. If he was going to be away, he should've asked one of his team members to take over temporarily. Apologies to everyone in involved in the JHU vs CMU match, I should've made some reminders/precautions to avoid such a situation
Never got to play my epic games with panda. He heard news that I was on ICCUP so he rushed online and started sizing me up, refusing to play me, but obsing every game I was playing
All this effort to scout his opponent and getting a W/O? I bet you snipingpanda pandor is dishappy
I'm giving JHU's coordinator (nbaker) until tomorrow night to have something planned out for JHU vs CMU, otherwise I will be giving the W.O. As far as I know, Berkeley vs GTech will be played this Sunday
Teams involved in the delayed matches (CMU, JHU, Berkeley, GTech) may send in their lineups late (until Saturday)
UCSD vs McGill results are up, apologies for delay
I have received lineups from NYE, UCSD, McGill, CMU and Rutgers
nebs << Circuit Breaker >> SL]..LOLMELLO- W/O ngenuity << La Mancha >> tanken hasuprotoss << Tau Cross >> Troll(OD) both players no show Ideas << Icarus >> sL]..WiLdCaRd- W/O ACE << Match Point >> ACE
lmao, damn that sucks. Why do people bother being coordinators if they can't coordinate? Same problem with the previous CBW. I think it's because people aren't committed.
Berkeley's coordinator (RLTY) has resigned due to various circumstances, so the match against Rutgers will either be postponed or cancelled. Apologies to both parties
If Berkeley cannot find a new coordinator by this Friday, the team will unfortunately be forced to be disbanded. As I have no real way to contact the Berkeley team members, I hope they are reading this thread and one of them will step up.
I will post a map order for Week 4 tomorrow, and Lineups will probably be due this Friday
Individual Rankings are now up! In regards to W.O.s, I have decided for them to be counted towards losses, but not towards wins. I'm not sure if that's how it should be done, so let me know if W.O.s should be counted for wins ..
nebs please PM me to set up a time either Saturday night (Before midnight) or on Sunday, in which case the time will have to be decided upon at a later time (I'm going to be busy for about 2 hours at an undetermined time midday Sunday) for our match this week.
Noticed that multiple teams are having trouble getting a lineup up by tonight .. so I'm willing to make a small extension (to Saturday/Sunday). I will attribute it to the trouble of delayed matchups from Wk2 and relatively late map order being posted ..

If sushiknight agrees to it, you can go ahead and do so lol. I would need to know his race though to add him on your roster

Hi Arvick. I'll be happy to play for CMU. I play protoss.
I've updated the results section .. still waiting on lineups for NY and McGill. I'll update the rankings once I get all the replays in.
Regarding Berkeley .. it seems like nobody is willing to step up and take over for the team. If nobody steps up within the day, I will have to disband the team (and everyone gets a free win lol)

Everyone C+ and under is on the B team training for any Bo7s coming up so challenge us to one if you have the available players, our scrubs Clazz, Fana, and Seth need practice!
Can we choose any additional 2 maps that both teams agree on for Bo7s or how does that work?

If both teams can agree to a Bo7 (like one coordinator brings it up and other agrees), then I will add two more maps for that match. The request should go through before lineu deadlines however, so maybe the next match we'll be seeing bo7s :D

When are these being played? I haven't received any e-mails.
This match was supposed to be play on 7PM PST/ 10PM EST However, sas.draw did not show up, My player, [UCSD]Choi, waited till 7:30PM PST Although sas.draw was on at this time, he was on 'dnd' mode. We were unable to contact him.
I don't think my players are responsible for the other team players not showing up. So this should be automatic loss for sas.draw if I am correct.

It's unfortunate that happened. Can they play tomorrow?
Humm, Sharkified, Gak2 and me have been online for 45 minutes... I will probably log off in 15 minutes. Last call!<
Edit: Ok, that's it . Sorry if you were planning on playing tonight or something, I really can't. We said about 3h00 and it's now 4:15, so I will log off...

When matches haven't even been fully played during the past three weeks, I find it not worth my time to post up the map order for week 5 until something gets done.
Seriously guys, it's not that hard to schedule things to be played on time. I just get the feeling very few are interested in continuing this, and I find it difficult to want to continue devoting time and energy to this if that's the case.

I have to sympathize with you on this, arvick. I think it is indeed a lack of interest in the participants. In my team's case, most of the time, we don't even know what the hell is going on with the matches. There are people who want to continue this league though, so stick with it a bit longer. If need be, I would even suggest replacing coordinators and players with people who can set some time.
