Its basically halved since last year.Where do you get the idea that no new players are coming onto the scene? And just because there is a sequel to a game, it doesn't mean that it will replace its predecessor. BW is dying slowly, but I think it will last more than a year. And for a lot of people SC2 will never be a replacement.

When these teams don't perform it's natural for sponsors to drop out because they no longer get the exposure they wanted. The old bo5 format favoured teams with very few very strong players. bo7 is actually better for poorer teams. If it helps, you can think about it in the extreme. If it was a bo1, the only teams who could compete would be the ones who could pay for Flash, Bisu, etc. If it was a bo101, the salary gap between the players would significantly decrease, because players like Flash wouldn't single handedly win matches. Right now Flash's salary is several times the salary of other players. As in, Flash's salary could pay for an entire team. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it. I'm just pointing out how the previous bo5 system made it much harder for poorer teams.

While he's here and the money is good, it's solid, but his interviews suggest he (or maybe just his parents) want more for his life. I would think this is the end for JD progaming if he doesn't get picked up by another team, and maybe even the end if he's just frustrated by the process and sees this as a good time to devote himself to a career. (I'm a big JD fan but that's why I read his interviews too ![]() Well he also had that recent interview saying he was going to switch when the time was right. From what I gather of the Korean school system, it's pretty brutal. If you fall behind early, everyone will be clawing past you. It's hyper-competitive - not a good environment for a progamer (unless you're Flash, who can succeed at everything in life). I hope along with many others that a sponsor pick up the combined teams, dropping a few of the too expensive players to free agency. I'd like the new team to be like: Jinair Jets (main line up) Jaedong (Ace) Baby Killer Jaehoon Tyson Anytime Midas Free Agents Sea Hiya Shine Roro Hyun etc
