MBCGame to shut down? - Page 12

Keep any SC2 vs BW comments out of this thread. This is a thread about Brood War and Esports (Tekken Crash, Special Forces, etc) in general. If you discuss what this means for ESPORTS be sensitive about it.

It was expected by me, although I don't like it and I think BW is twice the game than SC2 will ever be.

![]() I remember the recent Songduri-Dear MST game, which was all over the place but made watchable and hilarious by the commentators. I hope all of the staff and the players will be provided for somehow, but it doesn't look good.

What really pisses me off, is that SC2 was supposed to be THE successor to BW, but If BW dies off, the SC2 expansions had better be fkn awesome so that the scene can support all the former BW pros. Once I thought that as long as we, the fans held strong, that bw will survive through our sheer force of will alone if nothing else. We have as a bw community suffered through so much recently, and our faith has always remained. But now I feel that very same will shattered, drained... I can't help but accept, all good things must come to an end. Sometimes, when one door closes, another one does not open like our foolish, optimistic hearts expect. Sometimes all we are left with is nothing.... MBCGame, it has been a pleasure and an honour to share the journey with you, RIP.

BW dying may be the death of Esports in Korea, which IMO will also lead o the death of most E-sports. Without Korea, e-sports just won't survive. Its not like the whole e-sports scene in the world is based on BW :/
